Many users have been questioning his stats and so on, which is why I´m making this blog.
This thread will focus in his Powers and Abilities and then to his AP, Durability and Speed in deep detail, and lastly how he plays under Standard Battle Assumptions.
With no further stuff to add, let´s start.
Immortalities[]
Immortalities go like this:
Type 1: He´s at least 200 000 000 years old and his, but this one is questionable for obvious reasons, and so it gets a likely rating, andLongevity as a low-end.
Subjective Reality Wielding[]
The previously-mentioned stuff is also a solid reason that grants him Subjective Reality via his imagination, as he upscales from the kids, which consider him as someone superior, and other feats like in the event in which Barney and friends find an alien girl that wants to meet them, and so Barney transmutates a small, simple toy-rocket into a far bigger useful one to actually go to space, with the power of imagination, as stated by Barney himself. This means that most of the time, whenever imagination is used, they are actually altering their enviroment.
Barney is Real and "Imagination" terminology[]
It has been brought up a lot of times that as they are playing with their imagination, nothing really happened, but if we went with that assumption that is pretty much entirely hypothetical, Barney wouldn´t be real in their point of view, which he explicitly is, as:
"Trying to imply that Barney is purely imaginary is highly incorrect, as there numerous real consequences of his actions that can't just be waved away with "lol imagination"" - Quote from Crabwhale
The before-mentioned statement explains this quickly, but in case you want a more deep explanation, keep reading.
Here´s some proof:
- Barney and co. appear in a photo, note how BJ was the one that took it
- Barney taking a picture the kids actually take as a nice tangible gift
At the end of the episode we see the kids leaving with the results as a real thing and even stay existing while Barney changed to his doll form.
- Barney and co. are sentient, tangible beings (literally happens every episode, meaning that it´s more than consistent) heck, he could even get X-rays onto himself.
Please, only because the opening says that Barney was made with kids´ imagination, doesn´t mean that´s actually literally true, Barney appears to simply just "awaken" when a kid uses their imagination near Barney while he´s in a doll form, and there´s also the fact right at the first episode of the series, he´s just found in a box, which is consistent as he´s somehow 200 millions years old ("two dinosaur years"), and we all know Barney wouldn´t lie about that, as that´s against his character and he doesn´t really have a reason to do so, logically making this as a legit part of the lore in the series that´s consistent.

And so the ratings he may have by using the power of "imagination" can be valid.
Light Manipulation and Teleportation[]
Most of Barney´s powers work around sparkles which, in lack of better explanations, have been decided to be taken as just light particles, as that´s normally what sparkles by themselves are made of.
This leads into that Barney has some degree of Light Manipulation, which he uses for the following abilities:
While Barney is changing form or teleporting, he reshapes himself with said sparkles.
They are also well known to be the main way to perform his reality warping, more details about that one can be seen in the Subjective Reality Wielding section of the blog.
Other Powers and Abilities and feats[]
Cloth Manipulation: Barney rotates himself quickly to then change or remove it, he can also enhance objects to do the same effect on others in a more efficient and fast way, and he can also do it directly with his sparkles.
Immersion andPortal Creation: Barney made a portal to enter into the world of a book to bring back the princess to her parents. How the princess got "out of the book", you may ask? Check this part that was just a few minutes before that.
Self Sustenance: This, among other countless feats, no need to explain it really, you may also check his Speed rating explanation below for more feats about this, there´s also the whole plot of Barney in Imagination Island, in which Barney doesn´t eat or sleep for a while.
They also meet a new guy in there, and he appears in other episodes afterwards, further supporting Barney being real in-verse,
Portal Creation and BFR: Barney summons a carpet in which they are sent to another place in the world (A beach in this case), which can likely also be formed right on a target so it falls on them to then BFR it by just making it dissapear afterwards, you may also check the Immersion thing above for more stuff regarding this.
Subjective Reality: Has shown to be able to turn a meatball into a tree, and numerous other feats of such power.
Existence Erasure: It´s to be noted that Barney also has a feat of when he erases some vegetation BJ made
(Once again, imagination in the Barneyverse can also lead to actual, physical things, especially considering BJ is comparable to Barney in every way as they share a similar physiology and both have imagination to reality feats). but as that feat has only happened once, it was concluded to be an outlier
Teleportation: Barney can turn himself into light particles (Aka, the before-mentioned sparkles) and just travel to another place. This is done in the end of nearly all episodes and movies off-screen, and on rare occasions, on screen like this, this and this one, the range of it should be up to tens of meters. This ability seemingly can be spammed if needed.
Telekinesis: Moved a bunch of leaves, forced a pizza to rotate, made a floating TV, and helped carring an airplane in the air
Broadway Force: We can see Barney making everyone sing and dance in one way or another in literally every episode of the series, he simply starts doing it and the others nearby follow him.
Breaking the Fourth Wall: Also happens very often, no need to really explain as the ability is hardly useful anyways.
Transformation: Barney can switch from his "Base" form and his "Doll" form, in his doll form, he becomes smaller and far more vulnerable due to lack of movement by himself, but he can still see, teleport and change back to his other form.
Weather Manipulation: He can change the current season of his enviroment (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter) by using the jars he made (Also including the vegetation), however, as BJ messed them up at the end of the episode, they can´t really work anymore, BUT, it was accepted by Barney that they can just be refilled to make them work again, and he can also make some snow fall on himself on purpose, which means that he possibly can use them again).
It has been shown to affect up to the whole horizon, also granting those in the affected area appropiate clothing replacing their current one; Note that it doesn´t last further than about an hour.
Plant Manipulation: Scales to BJ, which manipulated a plant to grow bigger and even to make a basket for their basketball game. This feat is also further proof that supports the 8-B rating as it also makes a magnitude 4 eartquake when growing..
Animal Manipulation: Barney made a butterfly from his hands (Virtually not combat applicable).
Summoning and Dimensional Storage: If Barney concentrates enought, he can summon from a common and simple object like a bag to some kids at his command (Virtually not combat applicable).
Air Manipulation: When changing form a gust of wind is made.
Physical stats and Tiering System stuff[]
Attack Potency: At least City Block level, likely far higher with imagination-based powers (Can cause magnitude 4 earthquakes by jumping, Froze over up to the horizon the area, Made a constellation)
Before and after the CRT
This can sound outlierish, but the Plant Manipulation feat (CTRL + F to find it) further supports the rating, Barney also said that it was easy to do and apologized.
He also did this, which is self explanatory, turning it even more consistent.
From where the rating for such a thing comes? Easy, it´s based on this and this.
Now, for the reasoning of the "likely far higher" rating, Barney himself made the Magic Jar that was used for the feat itself, which BJ used to cover up to the whole horizon with snow
As the actual event hasn´t been calculated, it is currently used as part of the reasoning for the "far higher" part, at least for now.
The Large Star AP is self explanatory, as per the Celestial Body Feats page and the before-mentioned calc explains why it´s valid, it has been concluded to be an outlier, however.
Speed: Subsonic (He looks like a blur to some people when hiding himself, higher than Tosha, who could do this)
The MFTL+ feat has been concluded to be an outlier/non applicable, but it´s to be noted that it´s stated that Barney can do a similar feat as many times he likes, that and the fact he has traveled to space countless times, while still not usable by the site´s standards, this is to be kept in mind..
Anyways, how is Barney "higher" than Tosha? Check the Reality Warping tab for more information, as he is stated by the kids themselves that he is superior.
Striking Strength: At least City Block Class, (Scales from AP)
Durability: At least City Block level (Also scales from AP)
Range: Standard melee range, at least hundreds of meters with imagination (As the horizon reaches about that range with the Weather Manipulation, it´s solid)
There´s also the part that before was "Interstellar with imagination", scaling from the High 4-C stuff, coming as a logical rating as per its description fitting for constellations feats, but as it´s easily an outlier, it´s used as the reasoning for the "at least" part instead
In character and SBA[]
Barney is well known as a character that would never actually fight, as his personality is strongly against such things.
What SBA (Standard Battle Assumptions) do? They turn him into someone actually willing to kill, removing said weakness, but he will still give priority to BFR him or incapacitate it. If all of those fail, he will just kill the target in lack of better options.
However, because of his character... well, Agnaa explained it very well:
"We don't know how Barney acts when "in character but willing to kill", leading to wanked standard tactics of "Barney instantly incap haxes the opponent". Even characters from actual battle series like Medaka Kurokami when "in character but willing to kill" let the opponent take the first move and start off with low-hax. We can say this because we know how they act in battle, but with Barney we have no clue which leads to ridiculous speculation.
We also don't know of any possible combat applicability for most of his skills. Leading to wanked abilities of "This telekinesis that moved leaves has 8-B AP" "This transmutation that turned a fake rocket into a real one can transmute humans, incapping them" etc."
In other words, there is nothing that gives any idea of how Barney may behave in a confrontational context, which not only extends to his personality, but to all of his abilities and even physical capabilities, meaning that Barney is banned from matches that can be actually added to profiles on the wiki because of the high amount of speculation he does, to the point that there is absolutely no reliable enought way of saying how/if Barney may do anything whatsoever with his capabilities in a confrontational context, sadly.
