“ | We have faced far worse than this one fallen mortal, but we are the gods! We whom the mortals worship, we, who rule over this land. We, who will not be swept aside by some petulant fool! Brothers, put aside the petty grievances that have splintered us for so long, we will unite, we will stand together, and I will wipe out this plague! Olympus will prevail! | „ |
~ Zeus addressing his fellow gods |
“ | My brothers. We were forged in victory. A victory that ended the Great War and brought forth the reign of Mt. Olympus. Born from the depths of the Underworld, rooted in the River of Souls, our mountain emerged out of the chaos. As it grew, so too did the might of the Olympians. We created a world of peace, a world of prosperity. A world that lives in the shadow and safety of my mountain. A mountain that has come to be the absolute measure of strength and power. Now, on this day, that power is to be tested. The mortal, Kratos, seeks to destroy all that I have wrought. Brothers, put aside the petty grievances that have splintered us for so long. We will unite, we will stand together, and I will wipe out this plague! Olympus will prevail! | „ |
~ Zeus addressing his fellow gods, God of War 3 |
“ | I grow weary of you, my son. |

In the first leg of their final rematch, after withstanding a massive beatdown from Kratos and getting pinned down,[13] Zeus came back even stronger than last time[14])
- Reactive Evolution (Gained the ability to nullify resistances, as seen when he shot his lightning bolt at Kratos and nullified the latter's ability to resist the River Styx, despite Kratos being able to do so even as a Demigod[13])

- Attack Reflection (With his Aegis, can reflect attacks back at their foes[2])
- Healing (Via Chalice of Ambrosia.[2] Also healed Kratos with his magic[17])
- Power Bestowal (Can bestow his powers onto others[2][18])

- Power Nullification (His champions who yield a fraction of his powers[2] can nullify magical abilities with lightning strikes.[21] Zeus himself can strip fellow gods of their powers as punishment for their insolence, as seen in the case of Kratos and Prometheus)
- Resistance Negation (Left Kratos unable to resist the effects of the River Styx with a single lightning bolt, whereas Kratos could do so even as a Demigod[13])
- Soul Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Memory Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1), Probability Manipulation and Non-Physical Interaction (Souls are constructs of magic, composed of their form, the metaphysical nature of a being, their luck, their mind and their direction. Pulled off the soul of one of his worshippers and sent it directly to the Underworld with a mere gesture.[22] Damaging souls can shatter and fragment their memories as a consequence[23])

Resistance to the following:
- Divine Magic and Lightning of Zeus (Gods resist the innate properties of their own magic. Repeatedly[10] resisted[13] Kratos reflecting his lightning attacks back at him with the Golden Fleece)
- Precognition (Even the Oracles of Delphi cannot fathom or predict the true potential of Zeus, deeming it both supreme and unknowable[26])
- Illusion Creation and Perception Manipulation (Olympians can easily see through illusions and hidden pathways, as well as translate the murals within the chamber containing Pandora's Box)
- Status Effect Inducement (Completely immune to the effects of the Head of Helios, which can stun its foes[27]. Able to resist his lightning bolts reflected at him by Kratos' Golden Fleece as well. Is able to resist the cries of the Siren Voices as well[10])
- Madness Manipulation (Types 1 and 2), Death Manipulation, Empathic Manipulation, Sound Manipulation and Status Effect Inducement, Body Puppetry (Can resist the siren voices when summoned during his fight with Kratos[10])
- Absorption (Can withstand being repeatedly stabbed by the Blade of Olympus without having his power or life drained, as it is stated and shown to do so in God of War 2. Also able to easily brush off Cronos' Rage, calling Kratos's Titan power-ups as being near-irrelevant to him[7])
- Cosmic Radiation (All the Gods are immune to the hazardous radiation of outer space)
- Petrification, Transmutation, Poison Manipulation and Acid Manipulation (Resists Kratos' abilities and all of his equipment, including the Head of Euryale, as well as the powers of the Claws of Hades, Gorgon Soul Summons and the Chimera Soul Summons)
- Soul Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Memory Manipulation, Probability Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 1), Curse Manipulation and everything else Hades has (Souls are constructs of magic, composed of their form, the metaphysical nature of a being, their luck, their mind, and their direction. Completely impervious to the Claws of Hades[13] wielded by Kratos, who at this point was now carrying Hades' soul and all of his powers plus the millions of souls that the latter had tormented before his death. His entire being is imbued by Fear down to the most fundamental level and should thus hold a similar level of resilience and existence.[28] Damaging souls can shatter and fragment their memories as a consequence[28])
- Disease Manipulation (All the Gods of Olympus are unfazed by the diseases that plagued the Greek World after Kratos killed Hermes in God of War III)
- Power Nullification, Resistance Negation, Deconstruction, Electricity Manipulation, Statistics Reduction and Paralysis Inducement (Scales from his champions, who are resistant to these abilities with his armor. Also repeatedly resisted Kratos reflecting his lightning attacks back at him and using Cronos' Rage against him,[7] and stabbing him with the Blade of Olympus, and only played dead to catch Kratos off-guard with Fear)
All prior abilities and resistances massively enhanced (Is immeasurably stronger in all facets, with his lightning being capable of instantly destroying all of Kratos' weapons,[13] which held out against him previously. Destroyed Kratos' ability to use magic when the latter could withstand the Blade of Olympus without problem before[13]), plus:
- Abstract Existence (Type 1; is Fear itself)
- Resurrection and Immortality (Types 4 and 8; as long as Fear exists, he cannot die, and will continue to keep resurrecting even if his physical form is killed)
- Incorporeality and Fear Manipulation (Is possessed by the evil of Fear from Pandora's Box, and wielded it against Kratos in their final conflict[13] and attempting to imbue it into what was left of his being after killing him[13])
- Possession and Empathic Manipulation (Now possesses full control of all the Great Evils due to being possessed by the strongest evil, Fear itself)
- Enhanced Soul Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Memory Manipulation, Probability Manipulation and Non-Physical Interaction (Conceptual level Type 1. The Great Evils and Hope imbue themselves within a being down to their very soul[29], affecting[30] all of their mind, soul[31] and very powers as gods.[32] Souls are constructs of magic, composed of their form, the metaphysical nature of a being, their luck, their mind, and their direction. Damaging souls can shatter and fragment their memories as a consequence)
- Enhanced Statistics Reduction and Power Nullification (Completely drained Kratos of all his powers and strength to zero before promptly killing him by snapping his neck[13])
Attack Potency: Low Complex Multiverse level (Is the mightiest[9] and strongest[33] of[34] all the[35] Olympian gods.[36] He proved himself capable of beating his father,[37] Cronos, during the Great War,[38] and went on to completely demolish the entire Titan race at once with a single energy blast[10] powered by his godly might.[39] During his absolute prime, he considered the powers of the whole Titan race to be near-irrelevant[7] and was implied to be capable of disposing of Hades and Poseidon, with casual lightning bolts if he ever felt like it,[40] with both Hades and Poseidon being scared into submission by Zeus's anger.[41] Fought on par with Kratos when the latter was at the peak of his power, as the God of War) | Low Complex Multiverse level (Became much stronger than his base form and knocked out Kratos out with a single strike, destroying all of his equipment in the process, save for the Blades of Exile, Blade of Olympus and Boots of Hermes, and then killed him by snapping his neck.[13] Was only defeated by the Power of Hope from Pandora's Box[13])
Speed: Infinite (Superior to God of War Kratos in GoW2, his lightning bolts were so fast Hermes couldn't perceive them.[12] Far above everyone else in the verse except God of War Kratos with Hermes' boots and perhaps the Sisters of Fate) | Infinite (Far above his previous speed, managed to catch Kratos off-guard and grab him before he could react, and could only be overwhelmed by the Power of Hope)
Lifting Strength: Immeasurable (Wrestled with Cronos and overthrew him in the Great War. Stronger than Atlas. Equal to Kratos) | Immeasurable (Kratos was unable to break free from his grip, requiring the Power of Hope to completely overpower him)
Striking Strength: Low Complex Multiverse level | Low Complex Multiverse level
Durability: Low Complex Multiverse level (Was[10] impaled[10] by the Blade of Olympus on multiple[10] different occasions, survived and managed to recover quickly and come back even stronger, even after being impaled and pinned for minutes and on the range of a point-blank explosion from Gaia's heart,[13] and only pretended to be dead. Also withstood a massive blitz and a continuous beating[13] from Kratos, only to emerge even stronger from said beating) | At least Low Complex Multiverse level (Immeasurably more powerful than his prior self)
Stamina: Superhuman (Fought in the Great War for hundreds of years)
Range: Low Multiversal (Gods are present across their domains, which at the minimum span all of space and time[42]. Can reach across the Underworld and Human World, as seen when he sent a worshipper's soul straight to the Underworld with a mere gesture,[22] and when he dug a hole from the Mortal World to the Underworld to allow Kratos to escape,[9] with the Underworld and Mortal World, with the Underworld and Mortal World having been stated to be separate space-time continuums. Upon hearing that the Sisters of Fate were dead, Zeus roared in shock and disbelief, said roar shaking the foundations of the Greek World.[7] Also threatens Ares that his lightning bolt would be able to strike even him, regardless of where Ares would go[43]), Low Complex Multiversal via Summoning (Sealed the Great Evils within Pandora's Box) | Low Complex Multiversal (Has become Fear itself, an abstraction that supersedes even the Primordials and extends across the totality of the Greek World)
Standard Equipment: The Blade of Olympus, Gauntlet of Zeus, The Flames of Olympus
Intelligence: Genius. He has lived for thousands of years. Highly knowledgeable about mortals.
Weaknesses: Incredibly prideful and arrogant. The Blade of Olympus. | Retains his pride and arrogance, and is consumed by irrational fear and hate for Kratos due to the Great Evil Fear infecting him. The Power of Hope
