Summary

Xenoblade (Otherwise known as Xenoblade Chronicles) is the spiritual successor to Xenosaga and Xenogears developed by Monolith Software, and is a Nintendo exclusive. The series has the following entries:

Xenoblade is an Action-RPG and was released in Japan in 2010, it was later released in 2011 in Europe and it was released in North America in the year 2012, it was later ported to the New Nintendo 3DS in 2015. In the world, there were only two living beings, the Mechonis and Bionis, two gods fighting for all eternity. They continued to fight until Bionis cut off the Mechonis' left hand, and then both of their swords pierced each other at the same time. Over time, life flourished on top of these gods, but the battle waged between the Mechonis and the Bionis would be continued by their progeny, Bionis' Homs and Mechonis' Mechon. Millions of years later, the Homs and the Mechon were at war with each other, the humans barely manage to win the war thanks to Duban's use of the Monado, the Monado is a sword capable of harming the Mechon but they don't know how it works. One year later, the Mechon strike back, with their new models, the Face Mechon, which can take hits from the Monado; it is up to Shulk, the only Homs who can use the Monado, and the friends he makes along the way to stop them.

In 2015, Xenoblade X came out for the Wii U, with the game being different from Xenoblade and the only connection between them is the title and some creatures, but it has the same gameplay and it features vehicular combat using mechas. In 2054, two alien armies battle near Earth. The collateral damage causes immense death and destruction and forces humanity to evacuate the planet before the planet is completely destroyed. Two years later, one of the surviving Colony Ships - the American White Whale, holding the nascent city of New Los Angeles - is attacked by one of the alien factions, which had pursuit them. Thanks to the crew and one particular high-ranking officer riding a black-painted mech, the ship manages an emergency crash-landing on a hospitable planet: Mira; but the ship breaks down on orbit and throws down the pods. The player-created character, awakened from one such pod by one of the White Whale's staff, Elma; you must aid the struggles of those of New Los Angeles to survive, settle and thrive on Mira, a world filled with exotic locales and creatures.

In 2017, Xenoblade 2 came out for the Nintendo Switch, with the game working as a paraquel to Xenoblade; taking place in a different universe, but the same multiverse that uses the same engine as Xenoblade X and has the same gameplay as their predecessors. A human named Rex lives in the world of Alrest among the sea of clouds, where civilization lives on the backs of colossal beasts named Titans. He finds Pyra, a mysterious being known as a Blade who grants him tremendous power, and together they go searching for Pyra’s long lost home Elysium. Many different factions are after Pyra as well; this is because Pyra is the Aegis, a legendary, powerful Blade which is said to grant her Driver control of Elysium and all of Alrest.

In 2022, Xenoblade 3 came out for the Nintendo Switch. It is the conclusion to the trilogy that started with Xenoblade Chronicles. In the world of Aionios, two warring nations known as Keves and Agnus are in an endless war where they fight to live and live to fight. The story follows six soldiers hailing from both Keves and Agnus, headed by the two protagonists Noah and Mio as they are entrusted with the mysterious power of Ouroboros which allows for them to fuse into big humanoid beings. The group sets out on a journey to not only discover themselves but to discover the harsh reality of the world they live in.

Power of the Verse

Xenoblade is a very powerful verse. The early game of the characters ranges from Small Town level+ to even Moon level with god tiers scaling to Low Complex Multiverse level feats due to characters like Zanza, Shulk, and Meyneth using the Monado II and the former two making use of the Passage of Fate, and Rex, Pneuma, and many others drawing power from the Conduit. The gods have numerous extremely casual Universe level+ feats that do not contradict further details revealed in later entries and extended materials.

Xenoblade 2's added lore and feats not only were astronomically more powerful at the higher end, but also served to boost the God Tiers of the first game. It has feats that range from Moon level thanks to Malos and Mythra being superior to the former's Gargoyles - each of which rivals even the largest of Titans - to Low Complex Multiverse level via more context of the Phase Transition event. In some of Xenoblade Chronicles X's extended material, it straight up confirms the entire multiverse was created and not just the few universes each game respectively took place in.

There is also extended lore in the guidebooks and words of wisdom from the Nopon Archsage about many times, places, and past futures coexisting and that he transcends them all. Statements about planes or dimensions beyond space and time, and more. An extensive blog regarding the verse's cosmology can be found here.

In addition, there exists a race known as Blades, which are a crucial part of the series, especially Xenoblade 2. Blades have a large variety of powerful abilities, shown here.
