In My Hero Academia, Izuku with a piece of armor jumps over several landmines causing a large explosion. I'll be calculating the power of this explosion.
Calculation[]
We cannot see the whole explosion in this panel, but we know Deku was propulsed from the center of it, so let's use him to find the radius.
Student's Head (Average in Japan) = 172/7.5 = 22.93 cm
Explosion Radius = 16.52 m
W = R^3*((27136*P+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2
W is yield in tons of tnt, R is radius in meters, and P is pressure of the shockwave in bars, in this case is 20 psi or 1.37895 bars.
W = 16.52^3*((27136*1.37895+8649)^(1/2)/13568-93/13568)^2 = 0.36 Tons of TNT
