Two lightning feats requested by PTSOXMONKEY99.

Cole dodges lightning[]

Feat can be seen here.

Footage is a bit blurry.

Assumptions[]

I searched on Google about Kessler, but I can't find his height. I tried to search Cole's height then. Nothing. I asked someone how tall is Cole. So, apparently, Cole isn't very tall. He appears to be shorter than the 6'1 Nathan Drake, and even Zeke who is 5' 10"

So, 5' 7" would be a reasonable estimate I guess. 170.18 cm.

Kessler seems to be around half a head taller than Cole. Assuming a head is 25 cm tall, then 182.68 cm. If anyone knows exactly how tall is Kessler, please tell me.

Distance[]

Kessler

Kessler's height: 32 px or 1.8268 m

Panel height: 223 px

2atan(32/(223/tan(70/2))) = 11.475440168728 degrees

This calculator dictates the distance is 9.0905 m.

That's just the distance between Kessler and our POV. Cole is actually standing in front of our POV. So we have to deduct the distance between Kessler and the camera with the distance between Cole and the camera to get the distance between Cole and Kessler.

Cole's height: 96 px or 1.65 m (since he isn't standing straight)

Panel height: 223 px

2atan(96/(223/tan(70/2))) = 33.549251873248

Using the angular size calculator again, the distance is 2.7369.

9.0905-2.7369 = 6.3536 m

However, some people get radians first, then degrees. Dunno which is right, I'll do both.

2atan(32/(223/tan(70/2))) = 0.135773737972 radians

0.135773737972*180/3.14 = 7.7792621545107248 degrees

Distance is 13.434 m.

2atan(96/(223/tan(70/2))) = 0.402427650344

0.402427650344*180/pi = 23.0574059240776108 degrees

Distance is 4.0446 m.

13.434-4.0446 = 9.3894

Reactions[]

6.3536/440000 = 0.00001444, or 14.44 microseconds, Massively Hypersonic

9.3894/440000 = 0.00002134 seconds, 21.34 microseconds, Massively Hypersonic

Speed[]

Cole

Cole's height: 87 px or 1.65 m (he isn't standing straight)

Distance moved: 139 px, therefore 2.73 m

2.73/0.00001444 = 189 058 m/s, or around Mach 555.6, or Massively Hypersonic

2.73/0.00002134 = around Mach 375.94, Massively Hypersonic

Blink and you'll miss it[]

Kessler dodges lightning.

Cole fires a bolt. Just as it is about to hit, Kessler dodges.

Distance[]

Angsizekessler

Kessler's height: 75 px or 1.8268 m

Panel height: 223 px

2atan(75/(223/tan(70/2))) = 26.502938512448 degrees

The angular size calculator dictates the distance is 3.8786.

Again, we are not seeing from Cole's point of view, so we have to deduct the distance between Kessler and the camera with the distance between Cole and the camera to get the distance between Cole and Kessler.

Cole seems to have quite a large head for his height. So I'll assume 25 cm.

Height of Cole's head: 29 px or 0.25 m

Panel height: 223 px

2atan(29/(223/tan(70/2))) = 10.405824565888 degrees

Therefore it's 1.3727 m.

3.8786-1.3727 = 2.5059 m

Again, some people use radians first then get degrees, instead of going straight for degrees. Using that as an alternative.

2atan(75/(223/tan(70/2))) = 0.316052064384 radians

0.316052064384*180/pi = 18.1084493956001618 degrees

That's 5.7319 m.

2atan(29/(223/tan(70/2))) = 0.123078716016 radians

0.123078716016*180/pi = 7.0518909756060097 degrees

Distance is 2.0287 m.

5.7319-2.0287 = 3.7032 m

Reactions[]

2.5059/440000 = around 0.000006, or 6 microseconds, or Massively Hypersonic

3.7032/440000 = around 0.0000084, or 8.4 microseconds, or Massively Hypersonic

Speed[]

Moved

Kessler's height: 75 px or 1.75 m (he isn't standing straight)

Distance moved: 113 px, therefore 2.64 m

2.64/0.000006 = around Mach 1293, Massively Hypersonic+. Slightly faster than lightning

2.64/0.0000084 = around Mach 923.58, Massively Hypersonic
