Foreword[]

Just another small obscure indie game verse that I've done a handful of calcs for. Gonna post them here, if they get accepted, maybe we can get a verse page for them. Not a huge fan of the game, but hey, it exists.

Calcs[]

Just a Storm Calc[]

In Swords of Ditto, the weather changes with the current ruler- if the Sword has prevailed, then the weather will be sunny and nice, if not, then it will become dark, grim, and... less nice. We can assume Mormo causes this, and it scales to the Sword themselves.

Ditto is implied to be a VERY SMALL island country. As far as I know, we don't see the whole land, so as a neat alternative, we'll compare it to the smallest country in the world (that I know of). Nauru.

Nauru has a surface area of 8.108 mi^2, or just about 21 km^2.

Assuming this is a storm cloud, we can assume a height of 9144 meters, making total volume 192.024 km^3, or 1.920 x 10^11 m^3. Clouds have a mass of 1.003 kg/m^3 (as of our current standards), so our mass is 1.926e11 kg.

We know this storm is made pretty much directly after Mormo takes over. So let's make some ends. Let's say ten seconds as high-end, thirty as a mid-end, and two minutes as a low-end.

We know it would have to travel our radius in that time to be created. That said, we know our area is 21 km, so reversing the equation for area of a circle we get a radius of 2.585 km. That makes low-end speed 21.54 m/s, 86.17 m/s, and high-end sits at 258.50 m/s.

KE = 0.5m x v^2

Low-End: 4.468e13 Joules, 10.68 Kilotons of TNT

Mid-End: 7.151e14 Joules, 170.91 Kilotons of TNT

High-End: 6.435e15 Joules, 1.54 Megatons of TNT

Personally, I'm a big fan of that low-end. This would also constitute Superhuman speeds for Mormo, as this is an active attack.

Next up, low-tiers!

Fallen Sword Breaks Steel Thingy[]

The Fallen Sword can chuck that little steel thing so hard it instantly fragments on impact. Let's check it out real quick.

It clearly violently fragments, breaking into very small pieces, but we'll add in Fragmentation for giggles. So uh. Needless to say, high-end is more likely.

Here is our image reference. The small steel object is on the upper left hand side of the screen. We'll assume a half-sphere for its volume, meaning this will be only an estimation (albeit a very close one). I see no need to assume hollowness, so let's proceed.

We'll compare to the sword, who is probably about average height- 177 cm. Comparatively, the object is 89.23 cm wide, giving a radius of 44.62 cm. This gives our sphere a volume of 3.72e5 cm^3, halving for a final volume of 1.86e5 cm^3.

Frag and V. Frag for steel is 208 j/cc and 568.5 j/cc respectively.

Low-End: 1.865 x 10^5 cc x 208 j/cc = 3.869 x 10^7 Joules, Small Building level

High-End: 1.865 x 10^5 cc x 568.5 j/cc = 1.057 x 10^8 Joules, Small Building level

So Small Building level no matter how you look at it. High-End is more likely, though.

Lifting Strength. Density of steel is 8.05 g/cm^3.

8.05 x 1.86e5 = 1497.3 kg, or Class 5. This scales to Sword of Ditto for early game.

Bombs Away[]

Most bigger fodder enemies can survive the bombs of the Sword of Ditto (though they do hurt, granted).

The swords make use of little bombs. Swords should scale to Mormo, who should be roughly high-end tier 8 to low-end tier 7 for corrupting the land of Ditto, but eh. This scales to fodder enemies, who, as you can see from the video, can survive the explosion.

R = Y^1/3*0.28 is our equation for explosions.

We'll assume the man seen in our image here is 177 cm. Comparing to the blast radius, we get 749.3 centimeters, giving us a blast radius of 3.747 meters.

Our equation uses R in kilometers, and Y is yield in kilotons, so... let's go.

Plugging in our value for radius, we get Y at 0.00000526079 kilotons of TNT, equivalent to 2.201 x 10^7 Joules, or Small Building level. Just above baseline Small Building level, really.

9-A fodder opponents. Neato.
