Premise[]
Let me open with I'm not familiar with the verse nor very interested in manga. This was requested by BlackeJan.
Basically, some character I'm waiting to learn the name of created a blizzard. Considering how this perspective is... this could be rough. Let's try it.
Calc[]
We will provide two ends. One, we will low-ball and say it extends to the horizon (the storm). That'd be 4.7 km from human height. Two, we will assume those large stone spikes in the manga are mountains. It certainly seems to be implied. Based on this, we can assume a baseline height of 600m and angsize using that for radius.
So, it may be hard to tell, but here I'll attempt to angsize to one of the mountains in the background.
Mountain Height = 81 px = 600 m
Panel Height = 819 px
2atan(tan(70/2)*(81/819)) = 0.094 rad, or 5.386 Degrees.
Plug in values here to get a distance of 6378 m.
For the purposes of this calculation, we'll say this storm reaches at least the lowest clouds, at 1000m.
Low-End Volume: 6.940e10 m^3
High-End Volume: 1.278e11 m^3
Mass of air is 1.225 kg/m^3, so here is our mass.
Low-End Mass: 8.501e10 kg
High-End Mass: 1.566e11 kg
Severe blizzard has a temp of -12 C or less. Average temp is 16 C, so temp change is 28 C. Finally, specific heat of air is 1012 J/(kg x K).
Low-End Energy: 2.409e15 Joules, Large Town level+
High-End Energy: 4.437e15 Joules, Small City level
Tallies[]
Invel Makes a Cold Storm (Low-End): 575.77 Kilotons of TNT, Large Town level+
Invel Makes a Cold Storm (High-End): 1.06 Megatons of TNT, Small City level
Assuming angsizing is reliable (might not be due to the perspective), High-End is more likely. Low-End is always safe, though. Apparently this covered the "battlefield", which I guess was the kingdom of Diore after it got severely smaller (1/20 of size). But I dunno how reliable that is, so here's my calc, cheers.
if this is an outlier don't hurt me please
