Speed of the elevator  Luckily, speed was stated for the elevator.

Speed of the elevator = 23,123,000 m/s

The elevator 

For simplicity's sake, I'll take the elevator as a cylinder and a conical frustum. Cylinder = 107.235 m^3 Conical frustum = 162.2024 m^3 Density of steel = 8050 kg/m^3 Mass of the elevator = 1167857.983 kg Kinetic energy of the elevator

KE = 349069190575721140000 joules or 83.429 gigatons

Rex stops the elevator

Now, using the smack hands, Rex was able to slow down the elevator till it reached a full stop. Number of frames that it took to stop the elevator = 584 frames Video frame rate = 29.97 FPS

Time frame = Number of frames/ Frame rate 


Time frame = 19.48 seconds The elevator was in constant speed till Rex tried to stop it thus giving it a deacceleration.  Deacceleration of the elevator (a) = (V(f)-V(i))/t Deacceleration of the elevator (a) = -1186637.51 m/s^2


Going to calculate the energy Rex needed to reduce the elevator's speed from its former, constant speed in a one second time frame.


V(f) = V(i) + a*t V(f) = 21936362.48 m/s Now, Rex's applied energy in each second is equal to the difference in energy from the two speeds Delta E = KE(2) - KE (1)  KE (1) = 349069190575721140000 joules or 83.429 gigatons (Original kinetic energy of the elevator) KE (2) = 314161085184823131371.6 joules or 75.086 gigatons (Kinetic energy of the elevator after Rex tries to stop it) Delta E = Rex's destructive capactiy = 34908105390898008628.37 joules or 8.343 gigatons (Island)

This goes to Rex's DC, Strength and Durability considering he can take just as much as he can dish out from even more powerful opponents from later seasons.
