A Message[]
I first joined this wiki back around May of 2015. I have been active for more than two and a half years, and spent a good portion of my time as staff. I have made many pages, as well as friends, and hope to make many more. I suppose I just wanted to explain part of why that is so.
Over my time here, I have grown extremely fond of this community and the people it is comprised of. There is a good reason for this. We are not a usual wiki when compared to many others at our level of prominence. There is not a single, unifying franchise, or even really a subject, that binds us together. We are a character indexing site, containing profiles from across a multitude of mediums, and that, as a whole, has turned out to be extraordinarily beneficial. There are people here I share next to nothing in common with, and others who I feel I know almost like the back of my hand. Yet the individuals on both ends of this spectrum are equally as much part of this group as everyone else here is.
It is this rather nebulous nature of what we do that makes us so strong, and a large part of why I believe we have grown so rapidly. Falling out of touch with a single series does not mark the end of your interaction and activity here, as it would many other places. In fact, it may not mark much of anything, at all. What we all share is that there is something, anything, that interests us. Something we deem worthy of our time. It could be merely an aspect of a fictional series or it could be that very series itself, but chances are you will either find it here, or be able to discuss it in some way with someone else.
When you strip everything else away, we're a community where you can find others who share your passion, have conversations, and meet people who brighten up your life a little bit more. That's why we're still going strong.
Why am I putting this up?[]
No particular reason. It's the holiday season, which I figured would be as good a time as any to dump a cluttered "thank you" from off the top of my head.
I want to wish everyone a merry Christmas and happy holidays, and thank all who contribute to our site for helping to make this community what it is, today. Feliz Navidad.
