  • This is a thread for requesting translations from foreign languages from other members of this community.

However, take note that it has to be important for the purpose of figuring out proper statistics ratings, and similar issues relating to our work on improving the quality of this wiki.

    Here are some basic rules:

    1. Help with translation requests is voluntary, and not mandatory. As such, other users should not complain if they don't get translations quickly or at all.
    2. If a member is asking for a translation, it shouldn't be more than a relevant paragraph or two, as no one has the time to translate entire chapters or books. If someone submits large text segments, that take up a lot of the thread, the post will be deleted.
    3. This thread could be used to translate any language, as long as there are users who are familiar with them. However, again, help is entirely voluntary, not compulsory.

If you are willing to help out with translating text segments for evaluation purposes, please write down your username in this list.

Translators should preferably keep in mind to first save their work in a word processor before posting it, as Wikia is very glitchy, and might not submit a post, which would instantly erase all of the work.

Also, take note that repeatedly pestering other members about translations is strictly prohibited, and may lead to blocks being enforced.

    • Hop suggests we also make a partner page called Translators o rmultilanguage members, like how we have with the knowledgeable users page. but for user that volunteer to translate, or who just know more than one language. Hop speaks Spanish.

        Loading editor
    • Yes i agree with that, also on that page we should have whether or not users are fine with translating very long texts, if they are, other users can ask for long translations on their wall as long texts would clutter this thread.

        Loading editor
    • That is a great suggestion. I will put that on my wall.

        Loading editor
    • A translators page seems like a good idea, but again, we should not demand translations of long text segments from anybody.

Also, I currently do not have the time to write the structure of the page myself. I will try to do further work on the staff membership drive today.

        Loading editor
    • Well this is all voluntary and if someone wants to volunteer to translate longer texts, as in anything over 3 paragraphs, i see no problem with that, they might not want to anything more than 4 paragraphs maybe but can do 3 paragraphs on their walls.

The relevant translations are going to be for Japanese as obviously that will be the most requested and the people who have volunteered to do Japanese translations have no desire to do anything over 2 paragraphs, however other people who have less relevant translation request like KamiYasha have expressed desires to translate longer text as long as they have time. I am just saying we give them the option to do that on their wall.

        Loading editor
    • I have written a note of my personal restrictions and we should advise others to do so if they put their names on the page or their user pages.

        Loading editor
    • Okay then.

        Loading editor
    • So should we write languages we speak on our wall? I personally other than English speak German,Italian and Serbian (croation and bosnian as well but that's because they are very similar to Serbian).

    • So now that this is in working order i have something i want translated and of course it's Japanese:

Help translating this would be appreciated.

    • I tried my best with this, but it uses outdated Kanji not taught in the schools anymore. Hope you can at least understand the gist of it.

"Regulus' 'invincible' by 'authority' not greed. The identity of the overwhelming power of the evil man is "stationary of the object's time."

It is appealing, triumphant, never missing. Regulus spoke distortion at every turn, it was the way he was, but it was also an exposure of his ability to not hide at the same time.

"Because the time of the body is stopped, we don't get wet with water, nor attacked, because the sands of time that I threw is stopping, I will pass through like a penetrating object without being hit by the wall"

In manga you have power familiar to a riffle, "Rupture of space". It literally causes cracks in the space itself, cutting it without regard to the intensity of what passes through it, but Regulus is a kind of existence itself.

Legulus · Cornius which can be called time distortion itself. It is just a byproduct of the authority of "authority of time to stop the object" according to his words as if the dimension is different. In other words,

"- The gift of freezing time, that is the identity of your power!"

    • I wonder if auditory speech is ok too (maybe clips of 5 min or more)

        Loading editor
    • No, this is something people are volunteering to do, nobody has time to be making 5 minute audio videos, why would we even need that though? This is to help with important feats that relate to this wiki, if it's a quote or a scan, which we have already specified as a general rule shouldn't be more than a paragraph or two, unless the person specifies they would like to do more, no one is doing anything too long, we are only translating quotes, not entire chapters or books, you post a one to two paragraph quote, someone translates, quick and easy, no need to make it complicated.

        Loading editor
    • Celestial Pegasus wrote: nobody has time to be making 5 minute audio videos

you do not have to make anything I'll just show you the exact segment and all you do is just tell me what they are saying, same thing

        Loading editor
    • Do we even have a code for that? If it doesn't require anymore work for those who are translating and all you are doing is just making what they are saying audible, there is nothing wrong with that, a bit unnecessary imo though.

This thread is just starting out, and there hasn't been much translations being asked for so far, so don't really think we need to expand on anything more just yet. But if you want to volunteer to do that, go ahead i guess.

    • So i have yet another Japanese line to be translated, no one else seems to want anything translated, so i am taking the opportunity to get some things i would like more info on.

Same type kanji as before, as it's from the same story, this seems to give a certain character precog, i just need to confirm it.

        Loading editor
    • Well, according to Tsubaki, who has worked as a translator before, translating speech is much different than translating text. Again, that is unnecessary to me. Why would we need to do that? I remember when someone sent her two six minute videos and asked her to translate them.

Furthermore, I think there should be a rule that no one should request anything that goes beyond the 3000 unique kanji barrier (such as the Masadaverse) as even expert Japanese speakers like Ven have trouble translating it. Your everyday Japanese citizen is not going to be able to help much with that, in Japan the minimum Kanji requirement to graduate is about 2100 nationally.

      This is what I mean:

Learned at Shōgakkō (小学校): 1,000 kanji: Schoolchild

Jōyō Kanji (常用漢字): 2136 kanji: Good reader (Momo and I are at this level)

Kanken level pre-one: 3,000 kanji: Excellent reader (Ven and Myeo are at this level)

Kanken level one: 6,000 kanji: Kanji expert (Tsubaki is at this level)

Dai Kan-Wa Jiten: 50,000 kanji: Specialist (Alice is at this level)

    • "Super sense of Reinhardt.

A threat approaching oneself and a tremendous intuition that distinguishes every attack in advance. That keen sensation does not allow backward avoidance. Instantly trying to find another candidate, the crouching knee stopped.

"The air around is already there after I touch it."

The sharp sense brought rigidity, and Reinhardt at this moment was unprotected. A trap that cannot be seen that exists in such a way as to enclose himself largely in the rear. The decision of Reinhardt is to move forward beside the bad guys by moving forward, for which a blow of restraint is necessary."

        Loading editor
    • From what i can see even just a little over 2000 kanji would be like 3 or 4 paragraphs, we already said it should only be a paragraph or two at most, so i think the rule in place already covers that.

So precog yes, thank you again sera.

        Loading editor
    • That's not what I meant. There can be a sentence with Kanji that no ordinary student who has graduated high school would know. Certain works specialize in the use of unique, outdated, and special kanji. The same case is with Chinese. Vernacular Chinese uses characters today's Chinese citizens do not learn in school. It has little to do with the size of the body in question, be it a paragraph, an entire essay, or a sentence.

For example, look at how many ways you can you write "Akira" in Japanese: 彰, 明, 顕, 章, 聴, 光, 晶, 晄, 彬, 昶 (these are only a fraction of the numerous ways to spell a simple name). When I learned Hanja in school, I only learned of those ten Kanji for Akira. Now imagine if I came across the other numerous kanji for "Akira". I would have no idea what they mean and would probably need to use a dictionary.

        Loading editor
    • That is a problem, yes. However, I do not think that people who are not fluent in Japanese, and make requests, will be able to tell the difference.

        Loading editor
    • Hmm that is troublesome yes, i know some works of fiction are especially hard to translate, like the masadaverse as you mentioned, yes i think we should indeed limit the kanji.

But as Ant pointed out, people who aren't fluent won't know the difference, we will just have to deny those request, that are especially difficult when they pop up.

      24-dimensional reality

@Gemmy I don't know what translator you used but "実" means "truth" or "reality" in this context. Though it can also mean fruit, it depends on the hiragana above the Kanji (try and look for that ok? It will make this much easier)

      実 (じつ) truth; reality

      実 (み) = fruit; nut; seed

Kanji is more concise, but hiragana is straightforward.

We will only translate if it will help with determining a character's speed, or an ability, clarify something, etc. Not for sport.

Wait, I think that is the wrong translation. I will translated the Vietnamese quote for you guys. As I translated that back from Alice, it will look like this:

    • OK, since attempt 1 was a complete disaster, I'll just mention bits & pieces of Chapter 1 for now, and request only the things I want translated.  Here we go again...

Got some intrigue about Furiafill's past...  Or something.

DID Furia-chan PULL OFF A BFR?!?!?

Supersonic+ reaction speeds are the least of Furiafill's worries...  We also see Money Goldrush demonstrating his Gold manipulation ability.

I wonder what Furiafill is doing...  That and we have SwiZell preparing to kick arse.

Burning wondered if Furiafill has that fast of reaction speeds.  This is for him.

Magnetism apparently makes shells faster...  BUT...

Furiafill Melts them all.  What is she saying?

I hope this isn't too daunting.  I tried all I can to limit my choices to the best feats, as well as important plot points.  I'll continue with these translations overtime, at least when I'm ready for translations of future chapters.  I had to upload the images on this wiki as I have nowhere else to put them.  I hope you understand.

      With that said, Happy Translating!

Edit: Apparently the last link is bolded, even though it isn't.  Any fixes?

Double Edit: Apparently the first pic is now canned as I found out that's not Rio.  and that cop is actually alive and well.  One down...

    • Got a tweet from Ainefill about some things that could or could not interest you.  I would translate on said site, but I figured I wanted a better group for the job.  It's not TOO long, but I hope to prove some feats for some characters as I'm making the rest of the verse soon, even though none of the characters I put without profiles have enough info at this time.

      So here's what Ainefill said...

      セムニアの深淵の効果範囲は最大でもそれほど広くありません。半径500mくらいが限界でしょう。ウルフェスのパワーはパンチ一発で山が吹き飛ぶと言われています。必殺拳はテラブレイクの破壊には及びませんが、生身で受けると穴が開きます。アイウェンの速度は熟練者でも目で追えないくらいです。

Can anyone translate this, please?  Thanks in advance. :)

    • Sorry, forget my previous translation request.  I have something more simple to talk about...

      魔法防御力の弱い人間が渦に吸い込まれると潰れて死にます。

Me & Burning Full Fingers were debating as to whether or not Semnia's Abyss ability outside of the game could have the ability to negate durability. I accidently mentioned stronger magic users should be able to escape. I can tell, that out of the previous request, Abyss can go as far as about a 500m radius.

This is just a short translation BTW, but it could resolve the debate over if strong magic users can escape or not. Is anyone willing to translate this at some point? It actually does explain Abyss, and how it works, so it's a important feat for Semnia (Wonderful World); the character behind this ability.

      Should I ask around first?

      魔王オムド・レクス: 禁断の魔扉のチカラで魔王と化した『破壊ノ使者』。魔物たちの頂点『魔王』として君臨し、時を超えてあらゆる次元の世界を無に還す。

      Lastly,

大いなる 破壊と殺りくの化身は 滅びを求めし声に こたえ 時空を超え 降臨するという。

If these could be translated, that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

    • This is a translation for the Wonderful World (Verse).  Recently, a tierlist has been released for the game; & it seems most of the verse has been confirmed to be playable in the far future.  Because of this, Every character will have a JP name alternative to signify where in the tierlist they represent.  I just need the English, & Japanese names for the remaining characters of the verse; then we just have to wait until pictures are being released...

Most of the verse is already crossed out for being confirmed, the rest, I want EN, & JP text for the remaining names.  Only then will the entire verse page have all the character names...

Here is the list after crossing out the verse thus far.

      Good luck on translating! :)

      Under A: Ryuse/Ryusei

Under F: Rufin (This guy doesn't sound Japanese), Asuha

The last one is in Kanji, so I can't read it.

If it's Hiragana or Katakana, I can manage with time. But if there's Kanji (which I am 99.9% sure there is) you're likely out of luck with me unless it's a common one like Nan/Nani or Watashi or something easily recognizable like Ame or Hi.

        Loading editor
    • @Reppuzan

Check; though I did actually goof on the thing; "Ryusei" is actually Ryuza.  I didn't know until now.  Sorry about that.  I'll see IF I can get any JP characters for a confirmed name.  I'll leave the Kanji for anyone else available.  Venom is retired so he's out.  Sera is busy with other things so she's out also.  Maybe Peach-chan?  I mean, Sera could teach you some things about the language if you wanted (I could've sworn she said so herself...).

I'll see what I can gather...

Edit: Rufin=ルフィン, Athha=アスハ.  Now someone just needs to translate the Last Name in EN & JP...

I still think we're better off with a more experienced individual regarding this.  I at least was capable of finding the JP text for two of three characters, though I believe we should leave it to someone who can deal with this kind of thing.  Let's hope Sera can teach you JP before she retires as well... >_<"

So after beating Wonderful World on Hard (Had to spam Chartette's Zweihander.), I found four screenshots of worth; but no Staff Roll (Ainefill stated it isn't being worked on right this moment.).  So these 4 images are what you're going to get; & I'll put them in links to lessen space, just so I don't get in trouble again.  Here are the 4 images...

      End result on Easy

Before EX Stage on Normal & Hard

      Normal Mode Ending

Hard Mode Ending (Until V1.00 (Currently 0.91))

Note the names were chosen for mere preference; though I guess they do seem stupid to some...

If anyone can base the art to text form, let me know. :)

"Onushi, naka naka yaru na! Nanto yatsu ke (Kanji I can't read) na. Kuria (Kanji I can't read) ka!"

      2) Too much Kanji for me to read much of anything:

"Omake batoru. Kuriashite ma (Kanji I can't read) ni nan mo arimasen.(Kanji I can't read) no (kanji I can't read) wa (kanji I can't read) ni de chi(jou, I think, not sure how I should read this one) ge ta boss de yantsu."

I can get the rest of the hiragana, but it'll be such a jumbled mess that it's not worth it.

      3) By and far away the easiest:

"Waaa! Tsugoi desu ne!" - Wow! That's amazing!

      4) "Maa, maa kore kurai (kanji I can't read) dakane"

Problem is that I'm not sure how to read a lot of these sentences since identical sounding words have completely different meanings. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

    • Having the text like that helps since I can run it through translator that shows the meaning of each word.

The latter two sentences have the literal English word, "Universe" (ユニバース) in them.

Fair enough, Reppuzan.  At least we have one down.  Maybe you could find a way to convert the other sentences to legitamite Unicode text so I could translate it via RomajiDesu?  Maybe you could post it to my wall so no textspam could be involved?  I think there was a site for all the Japanese Text in Unicode form somewhere if you don't want to translate Kanji.

Is he saying that there are multiple Multiverses? You didn't translate the first half.

        Loading editor
    • @Matt

Sorry, I kept misreading "Multiverse" as "Maruchibasu".

In addition, I can't tell if he's supporting it or not due to my lack of knowledge in in-depth Japanese grammar.

On one hand, he says, "I personally believe". On the other hand, he says, "wa nai", meaning "is not present".

Quick question, is "Hoshiya" the name of a character or a game staff member? Since it would help the sentence make more sense.

        Loading editor
    • Noidea, lol.

      Thanks nyway.

        Loading editor
    • @Matt

This is probably the most I can make of this:

"The number of Hoshiya's multiverses that exist is many. On the other hand, it's best to leave it up to what the individual believes."

Again, this is probably riddled with errors since I only have extremely basic knowledge of Japanese grammar and the many forms its verbs can take up along with a few dozen particles.

    • Grammar aside, it's accurate. It basically puts the point across and that's what counts.

    • Finally, another request.  This is to be added to Ryuza (Wonderful World)'s profile.  I already have the Kanji under control, but the Hiragana in this case has the Same Romaji as the Kanji, but with a differing meaning.

      Here they are...

      (こくえん)
      (ひてんしょう)
      (うらひてん)
      (やそうけん)

      (まこく)

This is for a recent change.  Good luck!

    • @BMHKain

This seems simple enough, you probably could've run it through Google Translate.

      1) こくえん - Kokuen - Graphite

      2) ひてんしょう - Hitenshou

      3) うらひてん - Urahiten

      4) やそうけん - Yasouken

      5) まこく - Makoku

The problem is that I don't know what these words mean. Would you mind also giving me the Kanji so I can run it through a dictionary?

        Loading editor
    • Kanji is necessary for these words definition

      For instance こくえん= Black Smoke(黒煙), Graphite(黒鉛), ect

but his romanji is good enough

        Loading editor
    • For Yasouken I'm getting something like "Wild Flower Sword", but I don't know if that's correct.

        Loading editor
    • Erm... >_>|||

I was referring to the English translation of the Hiragana as the request of the translation.

      As for Kanji:

      黒炎/kuroen: Black Flame
      飛天焼/hitenshō: Heavenly Flying Rook
      裏飛天/ura hiten: Lower Rook Heaven
      夜葬剣/yorusō ken: Night Burial Sword

      魔刻/ma koku: Demon Scratch

This is where the similarities of Romaji spelling come in.  I already have the Kanji, but I just want the Hiragana translated to EN.

Sorry for the misunderstanding guys. :(

(Kinda sure the Kanji is right, but only kinda for translation...)

        Loading editor
    • 魔刻= Demon Time (koku=time in here)

        Loading editor
    • Oh.  Thanks for pointing that out.  To think that a mere typo was part of the name of Ryuza (Wonderful World)'s Finish Skill. >_>

But I didn't come here to request Kanji Translation; though if my Hiragana is even more rusty for the alt. names, Let me know.

こくえん: Gokuen ひてんしょう: Afternoon tea うらひてん: Urashibin やそうけん: And so on まこく: Aukaku

These are the names for each Skill/Finish Skill after ramming it through Google Translate.  Only two things were translated properly; though the guide page said something about "Black Mackerel".  Hang on...

Update: Nope; after translating individually, I still got the other Romaji Errors...

I'll want some backup in case anyone else cares.  Changing move name now.  Later.

Already posted the Kanji sometime ago. >_>

Obviously my translation request was about a seperate set of Hiragana that has the absolute irony of having the same Romaji as the Kanji as a play on the names of moves themselves.  Sorry for not making myself clear enough.  As far as translations go, the ones from Google Translate that went though seemed accurate not just because it had the "same" romaji, but the Translation had the same play on words.

Sorry for all the trouble, I didn't want this to be a flame war.  Also, just checked; kokuen is apparently an exception to the rule...

      ...

Just do what hiragana is translated; maybe they might show some Kanji examples on RomajiDesu...?  I'll just use Graphite for now...

EDIT: So far, only one name is translated, so I'll have to see what Kanji can be found...

Look, it’s Earth’s atmosphere, we reached it.

Guardate quanta roba... Cosa sono quelle specie di palloni enormi?

Look at all this stuff… What are those enormous balloon-like things?

Sono gli atomi dell'atmosfera, ma voi neutrini sfreccerete senza neanche accorgervene. Ci possono essere dei guai per noi, ma soprattutto per i protoni

Those are the atoms of the atmosphere, but you neutrins will keep going without even noticing. It can be troublesome for us, but mostly for the protons

Eh già. Noi risentiamo sia della forza forte che di quella elettromagnetica. Ciao ragazzi. Mi sa che non ci vedremo più....

Right. We feel the effects of both the strong force and the electromagnetic one. Goodbye guys. I think that we won’t see each other anymore….

Che roba. L'amico protone è sparito. E voi chi siete?

Wow. Our friend proton disappeared. And who are you?

      Pioni, pioni, pioni.

      Pions, pions, pions.

Oh, incredibile. Anche i pioni sono spariti in men che non si dica.

That’s incredible. The pions disappeared in the blink of an eye as well

      Ciao cugino solare!

      Hi solar cousin!

Hey ciao cugino atmosferico! Oh, ma come siete agitati voi che nascete nell'atmosfera. Certo che avete un sacco di energia. E quello lì chi è?

Hi atmospheric cousin! Wow, those born in the atmosphere are really agitated. You have a ton of energy. And who is the other one?

È il muone. Sia io che lui siamo stati generati dai pioni carichi.

It’s the muon. Both of us were generated by the charged pions.

      Ciao ragazzi!

      Hi guys!

Certo che ne succedono di cose strane in questa atmosfera terrestre eh.

I have to say that a lot of weird things happen here inside Earth’s atmosphere.

Hey ragazzi! Si fa a chi arriva prima al centro della Terra?

Hey guys! Want to see wo reaches the Eart’s core first?

Sì dai. Ma io non so se ci riuscirò. Noi fotoni non siamo mica come voi neutrini che passate attraverso qualsiasi cosa. A meno che non vi capiti un’interazione debole.

Sure, why not. But I don’t know if I’ll manage to do it. We photons aren’t like neutrinos who are able to pass trough anything. Unless a weak interaction happens.

Guarda! Quello è il Gran Sasso. Dicono che sotto quella montagna ci sia una specie di macchina fotografica gigante per neutrini!

Look! It’s the Gran Sasso. They say that beneath that mountain there is something like a giant camera for neutrinos!

Tu passi, e loro riescono a vederti.

You pass, and they manage to see you.

Sento la forza elettromagnetica della roccia. Mi sta per inghiottire.Addio neutrini. Buon viaggio!

I feel the electromagnetic force of the rocks. It’s about to swallow me. Farewell neutrinos! Have a nice trip!

Che buio qua sotto. Certo i fotoni della luce qua sotto non ci possono proprio arrivare. Dovrebbero avere un’energia grandissima, come quella che ho io

It’s so dark down here. The photons of light really can’t reach this place. They would need an incredibly strong energy, just like me.

Ma poi, che mi succede?! La forza elettromagnetica mi fa sbandare!

But now, what’s happening?! The electromagnetic force is making me slide!

Sento che sto per decadere. E la forza debole!

I feel that i’m about to decay. It’s the weak force!
