|“|| Precious little is known about the hooded man they call The Word, except that he is one of The Seven Deadly Aspects of The Voice itself...
There are those who argue that The Word has been watching us since the days of eternal darkness, when the Earth was cast in shade, and others who believe this entity is older still...
All that is certain is that in the beginning there was The Voice...
And The Voice created The Word when he first opened his mouth...
The Voice commanded light and there was ligght over the whole of the Earth, and those other places we shall see soon enough... But there was also The Word...
He must never be forgotten...
Since time began he has been the servant of The Voice, and he will annihilate anyone who rises to challenge him...
In any shape or form...
Man or God...

Note 2: Despite stating to transcend time itself, this appears to be referring either to a space-time continuum, or the lower sphere of the DC Multiverse, as in the same storyline as The Word's appearance, Swamp God, a character more powerful than he, is still bound by the 4th Dimension.
