Summary

The Shrike is a mysterious mechanical being seemingly composed of razorwire, thorns, and blades. It exists throughout time, manipulating it to serve its own purposes while acting in service of a greater force.

Attack Potency: Unknown. The Shrike's exact power depends on how much energy the MUI grants it, though many of its abilities ignore conventional durability regardless.

Speed: Unknown. At least Massively FTL+ (Kept up with Fedmahn Kassad, who perceived radio waves and light as completely motionless). Possibly Infinite (Can bypass the concepts of speed and time).

Standard Equipment: The Tree of Pain, which is the instrument of torture it impales its still-living victims on. It exists within another time, and the Shrike accesses it using its time travel abilities.

Intelligence: High. Its link to the MUI and its constant time travel provide it with detailed knowledge of many, many timelines, and it possesses all of the combat and tactical knowledge of Fedmahn Kassad.

Weaknesses: Anyone who defeats the Shrike in combat may control it.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • Freecasting: The Shrike can create portals to anywhere within time and space, and can move itself and others through these portals. They are of sufficient size to contain large spaceships.
  • Merlin Sickness: A strange medical condition that the Shrike can induce in others. Once affected, the target will age backwards, one day at a time, until they cease to exist. It would take 20 years for someone who was 20 years old to disappear, and so on for any other age. While this happens, they lose their memories one day at a time.
  • Temporal Duplicates: The Shrike can summon copies of itself from other points in time. Each of these copies are also able to summon copies, potentially ad infinitum. Even if the Shrike's body is destroyed, it can still return through use of this technique.
