Marvel's Lizard


After losing his right arm and years of researching the capabilities of reptile regeneration, former surgeon Curtis Connors finally created an experimental serum from reptile DNA. After successfully testing it on a rabbit Curtis used the serum on himself and it regrew his arm, but with the unintended side-effect of turning him into a reptillian monster who battled Spider-Man while he was on a trip to Florida as per a challenge by the Daily Bugle to investigate reports of a "Lizard". Spider-Man used Curt's notes after discovering his identity to create an antidote that restored him to his human form, but after a second serum turned him into the Lizard once again he become an enemy of Spider-Man, constantly struggling to stay in his human form and prevent his reptillian rampages.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman strength, speed, enhanced durability, enhanced stamina, enhanced agility and reflexes, can transform into a lizard-like form, Regeneration (Low-Mid), limited Telepathy/Mind Control, can unleash violence-inducing pheromones.

Attack Potency: Small Town level (A consistent enemy of Spider-Man and has overpowered him several times)

Speed: Massively Hypersonic combat speed (Listed on the same level as Spider-Man in the Master Edition Marvel handbook)

Lifting Strength: Class M (Listed as officially slightly stronger than Spider-Man in the original official Marvel handbooks)

Intelligence: Curt is an accomplished surgeon and scientist who is knowledgeable on genetics, physics, biochemistry, and herpetology and created the Lizard Serum. The Lizard is feral and animalistic but still retains speech and reasoning to some degree.

Weaknesses: Less intelligent and has a hard time comprehending emotions in his Lizard Form.
