I think it's important to add that there are species of fish which are capable of breathing oxygen from atmosphere and leave water to move on land as well like Mudskippers, Eels, etc. (through skin or modified gills) or even more primitive lung(s) like lungfish.
The reason why I feel this is important is because it would allow some vs battles on land as well in some limited capacity (right now Composite Fish must fight underwater) or survive in place with very limited access to water or even without it (like bury in mud and wait for water to show up for even 2 years like in case of lungfish).
