Stupendous Man is the imaginary alter ego of Calvin in the popular comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. A self-described "Champion of Liberty" and "Defender of Free Will", he typically spends his time concocting and executing various schemes to get Calvin out of school or out of doing homework. Stupendous man is also depicted fighting several supervillains based on authority figures in Calvin's life. While most of Stupendous Man's plans do work he almost always loses to his various archenemies.
