- Toon Force and Physics Manipulation (He and Scooby are capable of stopping what they're doing and rewinding their actions. He can quickly board and nail up a door without any tools at all.[4] When Scooby and Shaggy attempted to enter an aquarium tank, no water poured out to splash them, however, when an adversary did, the water immediately came out to splash and knock him back in comedic fashion.[5] He can make an egg beater float in place while he and Scooby escape.[6] When lifting a bridge, he made it function like waves instead.[7] He can catch screams in a bag that can only be heard when they are released[5])
- Fourth Wall Awareness (He is aware that he and Scooby are the stars of the show, and complains to the staff when he is counted as a suspect in a mystery by the in-show text[8])

- Body Control (He can briefly grow several eyes and wrap his body up in a scroll[21])
- Subjective Reality (Using the power of his imagination, he could bring himself a ham sandwich and mustard, and when he wanted it to be cut in half, events played out that made this possible.[22] He did something similar with Scooby Snacks and water)
- Social Influencing (Just by dressing up in different clothes, he is able to briefly trick a monster into believing he and Scooby are dentists.[23] He can do the same to another monster, convincing them that they are barbers.[24] He is also capable of making more intricate deceptions, such as tricking a monster into participating in a photo shoot,[25] bamboozling one into eating his finger while posed as a hot dog vendor,[26] convincing a prisoner that he is a warden, even frightening him into following military-esque commands,[4] fooling a monster into believing a painted door was real,[27] and tricking a monster into believing he and Scooby are a television program, even when channels are changed.[9] However, he often pushes his luck a little too far, and this often leads to him failing to maintain the illusion)
- Hammerspace (He can pull out a saw,[9] a dentist's mirror,[23] various[10] outfits,[28] gear,[12] and other[29] random[29] objects[29] from out of nowhere)
- Surface Scaling (He is able to climb up walls and stick to the ceiling[18])
- Shapeshifting (He is able to shift the shape of his body to fit hiding places like a streetlamp, a mailbox, or a guitar case[30])
- Restoration (He is able to perfectly rebuild a broken statue, if to the image of Scooby instead)
- Resistances to:
Attack Potency: Small Building level (Can bust through walls[9] and steel doors.[32] He can damage Velma, who should be comparable to him[28]), higher with Scooby Snacks (Scooby Snacks amplify his strength[9]), Town level with the Sword of Fate (The sword allowed him to do battle with the Black Samurai, who fought the Green Dragon[1])
Speed: Subsonic+ (He can outrun a horse[33] and the Mystery Machine, which should have a top speed of 145 km/h.[34] He can move oars fast enough to use them for walking on water[17] and can also engage in combat on the water effortlessly,[1] which should be this fast. He is swift enough to dodge The Gay Blade of the Ghost Set[6]), higher with Scooby Snacks (Scooby Snacks increase his speed[9])
Lifting Strength: Class K (Comparable to Scooby, who can throw a T-Rex's skeleton[16]), higher with Scooby Snacks
Striking Strength: Small Building level, higher with Scooby Snacks, Town level with the Sword of Fate

Stamina: Superhuman (He is able to survive a crash that involved rubble falling on him without issue or serious injury.[16] He can traverse water while using oars to run for an incredibly long time without trouble.[17] He can keep up with the Black Samurai, who fought in a long battle that shook Heaven and Earth[1])

Standard Equipment: Scooby Snacks, several assorted commonplace objects and tools via Hammerspace and Subjective Reality
Optional Equipment: The Sword of Fate
Intelligence: Average in terms of basic intelligence, Gifted in terms of physical skill and deception (While Shaggy often seems no smarter than average, with his moments of idiocy now and again, he truly shines in his ability to improvise and act on physical skill. He is consistently able to trick multiple people into falling for his tricks and sets up entire scenarios for them to fall for in a limited amount of time. He is even skilled enough to completely copy someone's voice. During the events of Samurai Sword, he went through samurai training and developed enough skill to take on the Black Samurai, the fiercest warrior in feudal Japan who could take on the Green Dragon in a battle that shook Heaven and Earth[1])
Weaknesses: He tends to get intimated in the presence of monsters, though when the time calls for it, he can pull through despite his fears. He can be somewhat gullible, as he once tricked into opening the Chest of Demons, which contained the most powerful ghosts in the world.
