RaytheFlyingSquirrel

Summary

Ray the Flying Squirrel is an anthropomorphic flying squirrel with a prehensile tail who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series, first appearing SegaSonic the Hedgehog alongside Mighty the Armadillo as prisoners of Dr. Robotnik alongside Sonic the Hedgehog.

Nowadays, he and Mighty are often journeying together as best friends when not helping Sonic and co. foil the schemes of Dr. Robotnik that jeopardize the peace on the planet.

Powers and Stats

Tier: High 4-C | At least Low 2-C, up to potentially Low 1-C

Key: Base | Super Ray

Name: Ray the Flying Squirrel

Origin: Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Sonic the Hedgehog)

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown (Is a bit younger than Mighty)

Classification: Anthropomorphic Flying Squirrel

Powers and Abilities:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Small Size (Type 0, about as tall as Classic Sonic), Non-Standard Breathing (Type 1, able to breathe in the vacuum of space), Spin Dash (Standard - However, Ray is likely unable to perform the Homing Attack), Body Control (Has a prehensile tail), Absorption (Of Rings), Flight (Can glide through midair), Toon Force, Elasticity (Can survive being flattened and is able to recover immediately), Limited Floating (Can briefly float mid air before they start falling), Resistance to Extreme Cold & Cosmic Radiations (Unaffected by the environment of space), Poisons & Chemical Products (Can travel through the most dangerous areas of Chemical Plant Zone without any trouble), Extreme Heat (Unfazed by the volcanic temperatures of Lava Reef Zone and withstand getting blasted by magma.), and Psuedo-Resistance to BFR (By just touching a Chaos Emerald, Sonic could escape from being trapped in closed off dimensions)

Innate

  • Small Size (Type 0; For the capsules themselves, which are shorter than Classic Sonic)
  • Power Bestowal (When hit, they grant the user with a self-contained power ups)

Elemental Shields

Power Bestowal

  • Damage Transferal (Up to Low 1-C AP with Rings. Rings completely shield the user from harm so long as they have at least 1 in their possession. Upon taking an instance of damage, a varying amount will scatter from the one who collected them with higher durability causing less to drop. Rings have repeatedly shown the capacity to protect Base characters from villains far stronger than them, ranging from the likes of Void to amped Titans such as Supreme[3])
    • Healing & Stamina Recovery (Ring energy revitalizes the wielder and restores energy, as noted with Silver wanting to use some to replenish his energy. Rings are referred to by The End as being vitality)

  • Same as before on a vastly enhanced scale, True Flight, Self-Sustenance (Type 3), Acausality (Type 4; Super forms can function within the Egg Reverie Zone, a dimension where time is shown to be constantly in flux and cause Base characters to float around aimlessly [as shown when they are left helpless once again upon reverting back]. Sage, an advanced AI who can run calculations by the millions, referred to Sonic's actions as trying to defy causality by refusing to submit to his accelerating cyber corruption.[4] Super Sonic, with assistance from Sage within Supreme, ultimately defeated The End. The End referred to its impending defeat at their hands as something that transcends law and time despite it's attunement being the ruling of fate on everything in the universe, with Super Sonic referring to it as breaking the chains of fate.[5]), Invulnerability (Super Forms are empowered by Chaos Energy that largely stems from the will and emotions of the user, best displayed through Shadow being immune to all sources of damage when unleashing the hidden power of good or evil[6] from within himself that allows him to tap into a reserve of ehnanced Chaos Powers.[7] As a Super Form is a transformation empowered by the negative or positive emotions of the user, their Invulnerability is tied to emotional power harnessed through the Chaos Emeralds. Super Forms are verbatim stated to be invincible, indestructible[8] and invulnerable), Afterimage Creation (Passive. Has a constant afterimage), Holy Manipulation (The Chaos Emeralds are described as wondrous and miracle gems that perform miracles once they are all gathered together, the result of which result is the Super form), Positive Emotional Empowerment, Regeneration Negation (Up to Low-Godly; The full power of the Chaos Emeralds allowed Sonic and Shadow to bypass Solaris' regeneration entirely, shattering it's light shells and decapitating it. Even when Solaris revitalized and reformed itself with wings, the damage to it remained[9]), and Information Manipulation (Type 2, Fundamental. Powered by the Chaos Emeralds, which were the very basis of what the Ancients built their technology around, in which the gems power all their systems including Cyber Space,[10] a realm stated by The End to be a separate reality[11] and also referred to by Dr. Eggman as a digital dimension.[12] Tails pieced together that Cyber Space was used to store information down to the very essences of who the Ancients were,[10] an idea supported by how the Elder described it as being able to upload their hopes, dreams, and memories.[13] When a being enters Cyber Space, their memories physically alter and change the realm depending upon their memories. The forcefield surrounding the Starfall Islands that sucked Sonic, Tails, and Amy into Cyber Space was stated by Tails to defy the laws of the real world, manifesting logical disparities to the bottom of causality.[14] Additionally, Solaris after it had used the Chaos Emeralds to merge back into being, became a threat that would destroy all of reality by destroying time.[9] This would include periods when Cyber Space was active, be it in the far past with the Ancients to the current day with Sonic and Sage[15]). Resistance to Memory Manipulation (Having a Chaos Emerald prevented Sonic and Tails from being altered by an incident Eggman caused, which unknowingly warped reality and their history at large[16][note 1]), Disease Manipulation, Biological Manipulation, Corruption (Type 1 - Physical Corruption), & Transmutation (Powered directly by the Chaos Emeralds, which prevented Zavok's infection and cured Sonic of the Metal Virus the moment he transformed into Super Sonic.[17] The Metal Virus in question transforms organic tissue into a metallic substance through physical contact to create a mindless Zombot[18]), Dream Manipulation & Conceptual Manipulation (Conceptual Destruction; Type 1, Independent Universal Concept. Super Forms can withstand attacks from the likes of Solaris, which have said effects), Cyber Corruption (Type 1 - Physical Corruption) & Information Manipulation (Type 2, Fundamental. 6-D - 2 Layers, When Sonic transformed into his Super State, his Cyber Corruption, which was able to affect him despite resisting similar abilities previously, was halted, though it did not cure him outright)

Attack Potency: Large Star level (Comparable to Mighty the Armadillo and Classic Knuckles) | At least Universe level+ (Empowered by the Chaos Emeralds and is thus comparable to other Super characters. Destroyed the Phantom King. Superior to the power of the World Rings. Should be capable of achieving the same level of power that Modern Super Sonic used to fight the Egg Salamander), up to potentially Low Complex Multiverse level (Should be comparable to Classic Super Sonic when he fought the Time Eater. Can potentially use the full power of the Chaos Emeralds, which allowed Super Sonic, Super Shadow and Super Silver to match Solaris)

Speed: 'FTL (Can keep pace with Classic Sonic), higher with the Spin Dash (Can use the Spin Dash, a technique that allowed Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles to blitz a group of Eggforcers that were initially blitzing them[19]) | Varies (Powered by the seven Chaos Emeralds, which possess immense chaotic energies with fluctuating power levels,[20] with Sonic able to harness varying levels of positive energy); Infinite (Far swifter compared to his base form. Faster than Darkspine Sonic, as he is empowered by the Chaos Emeralds, which are superior to the World Rings), up to potentially Immeasurable (Comparable to Super Sonic who kept up with Time Eater and managed to hit Solaris before the latter could react)

Lifting Strength: At least Class K (Should be superior to Eggman) | Immeasurable (Powered by the Chaos Emeralds, which are superior to the World Rings used to empower Darkspine Sonic.)

Striking Strength: Large Star level | At least Universe level+, up to potentially Low Complex Multiverse level

Durability: Large Star level. Up to Low Complex Multiverse level Damage Transferal with Rings (Having enough Rings shields damage from those as strong as Void and Tethered Supreme[3]) | At least Universe level+ up to potentially Low Complex Multiverse level (Invulnerability makes it difficult to conventionally harm him)

Stamina: Superhuman | Infinite (Is powered by Chaos Emeralds)

Range: Standard Melee Range | Standard Melee Range. Up to Universal+ to Low Multiversal, potentially Low Complex Multiversal, Possibly Complex Multiversal with attacks and abilities

Standard Equipment: None | Chaos Emeralds

    • Optional Equipment: Rings (Maximum of 999)

Intelligence: Is a skilled combatant capable of fighting the likes of Metal Sonic and the Hard-Boiled Heavies, but is somewhat scatterbrained.

Weaknesses: Is highly curious (if not a tad scatterbrained) | None notable

    Notable Attacks/Techniques:

    • Air Glide: Ray jumps into midair and uses his natural furry skin membrane to catch a ride on the air currents, allowing to him glide through midair. He can steer up and down while gliding in order to perform a nosedive and then upwards to regain some altitude and extend his gliding distance.

Note: Although Ray hasn't been shown to use the full extent of Chaos Emeralds' power, he can still potentially access it, which is why Super Ray is also rated as "potentially 2-B".
