Rashid (ラシード Rashīdo, Arabic: رشيد Rashīd) is a character in the Street Fighter series who first appeared in Street Fighter V. He was first officially unveiled on September 11, 2015 at a Dubai game show and was the second of the four new fighters confirmed for Street Fighter V. Rashid is also the second male Middle Eastern fighter within the main games (after Hakan); counting the Street Fighter EX series, he would be the third Middle Eastern fighter, following the Arabic fighter Pullum Purna.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

  • The Whirlwind Shot: By doing a quarter-circle forward and kick motion, Rashid spins and kicks sends a small twister spiraling upwards a small distance in front of him.
  • The Ysaar: Rashid throws out a slow moving whirlwind that closes in on the opponent and causes damage to them if they touch it. While the whirlwind is out, Rashid can use it to increase his movement on any attack that propels him forward.
  • The Altair: Rashid spins in place, creating a tornado at his location. If the tornado hits, Rashid spins the opponent up and creates a tornado around his lower body while repeatedly kicking the victim. It ends with Rashid kicking the opponent away.
