Summary

Quagsire is a Water-/Ground- 2 Stage Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is a laid back Pokémon with a carefree nature, coming off as a little bit dopey. It evolves from Wooper at level 20.

Clodsire is a Poison-Ground Stage 2 Pokémon introduced in Generation IX. Similar to its Kantonian counterpart, it is a laid-back Pokémon that resides in swamps and ponds. It often allows Paldean Woopers upon its back as it ferry them across bodies of water. It is capable of sticking out spines from its body. It evolves from Paldean Wooper at Level 20.

Weaknesses: Extremely vulnerable to Grass-type moves. | Weak to Water, Ground, Psychic, and Ice-type attacks, although the first of which is a non-issue assuming they have the ability Water Absorb. Clodsire using its spines is considred a risky move, but it is unknown why this is the case.

  • Water Absorb: Quagsire is healed instead of damaged when hit with water attacks.
  • Unaware: When Quagsire is hit or hits, the statistics boosts of the opponent matters naught.

  • Water Gun: Quagsire spits a jet of damaging water at the opponent.
  • Tail Whip: Quagsire wags its tail endearingly, lowering the defense of the opponent.
  • Mud Sport: Quagsire throws mud around, lowering the power of electrical attacks.
  • Mud Shot: Quagsire shoots a powerful beam of mud at the opponent, lowering their speed potentially.
  • Slam: Quagsire whacks the opponent with its tail for a lot of damage.
  • Mud Bomb: Quagsire lobs a ball of mud that explodes when it hits the enemy, with a high potential to lower their accuracy.
  • Amnesia: Quagsire lets go of its worries, sharply increasing its special defenses.
  • Yawn: Quagsire yawns, causing the opponent to yawn. Shortly later, the opponent falls asleep.
  • Earthquake: Quagsire powerfully shakes the ground, doing massive damage with a massive area of effect.
  • Rain Dance: Quagsire dances to summon rainclouds and pour rain, which raises the power of water attacks, and lowers the usefulness of fire and solar attacks.
  • Mist: Quagsire exhales a mist which prevents its stats from being lower.
  • Haze: Quagsire breathes out a haze which resets all stat changes, both positive and negative, for the opponent and itself.
  • Muddy Water: Quagsire creates a giant wave of dirty water to swamp the area, doing a lot of damage and potentially lowering accuracy.

  • Acid Spray: The user attacks by spitting fluid that works to melt the target. This also harshly lowers the target's Sp. Def stat.
  • Ancient Power: Clodsire attacks with a prehistoric power. This may also boost all the user's stats at once.
  • Counter: A retaliatory attack that counters any physical move, inflicting double the damage taken.
  • Curse: A move that has different effects depending on whether the user is a Ghost type or not. As Clodsire is not a Ghost type, this will boost their Attack and Defence stats but drops their Speed stat.
  • Double Kick: The user attacks by kicking the target twice in a row using two feet.
  • Recover: The user regenerates its cells, restoring its own HP by up to half its max HP.

Level-Up Moves

  • Tackle: A physical attack in which the Clodsire charges and slams into the target with its whole body.
  • Tail Whip: Clodsire wags its tail cutely, making opposing Pokémon less wary. This lowers their Defense stats.
  • Poison Sting: Clodsire stabs the target with a poisonous stinger to inflict damage. This may also poison the target.
  • Amnesia: Clodsire temporarily empties its mind to forget its concerns. This sharply boosts the user's Sp. Def stat.
  • Toxic Spikes: Clodsire lays a trap of poison spikes at the feet of the opposing team. The spikes will poison opposing Pokémon that switch into battle.
  • Mud Shot: Clodsire attacks by hurling a blob of mud at the target. This also lowers the target's Speed stat.
  • Poison Tail: Clodsire hits the target with its tail. This move has a heightened chance of landing a critical hit and may also poison the target.
  • Slam: The target is slammed with a long tail, vines, or the like to inflict damage.
  • Yawn: The user lets loose a huge yawn that lulls the target into falling asleep on the next turn.
  • Poison Jab: The target is stabbed with a tentacle, an arm, or the like steeped in poison. This may also poison the target.
  • Sludge Wave: Clodsire strikes everything around it by swamping the area with a giant sludge wave. This may also poison those it hits.
  • Megahorn: Using its tough and impressive horn, the Clodsire rams into the target with no letup.
  • Toxic: A move that leaves the target badly poisoned. Its poison damage worsens every turn.
  • Earthquake: Clodsire sets off an earthquake that strikes every Pokémon around it.
