The story begins with Yggdrasil, a popular online game which is quietly shut down one day; however, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga then becomes trapped in an alternate world as his in-game character, a powerful skeletal wizard, along with his entire guild base and customized non-player characters (NPCs). This new world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotions and Ainz adjusting to the limitations of his class. Having no living parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary businessman Momonga then strives to become known in the new world he has entered in order to respect what he and his former guildmates built together.
Power of the verse
The power of the characters has not been revealed too much, but the characters that have shown their power have rather hax abilities, to the extent of abilities like Black Hole Creation, Soul Manipulation, Reality Warping, Time Manipulation, Death Manipulation, Resurrection, Existence Erasure, Pocket Reality Manipulation, etc.
There are also the World Class items, and while their effects are mostly unknown, some of them have extremely powerful hax abilities, like the Longinus, capable of completely removing the target from existence at the cost of the user's own existence, and another item that is capable of changing the fundamental laws of magic.
In term of AP and Durability, Low-Tier Warriors such as Climb rank at Wall level, while 3rd-4th tier magic users and strong adventurers rank at Small Building level+. Veteran adventurers and heroes reach into Building level, while some of the strongest New World characters achieve City level destruction. The absolute strongest characters such as the Supreme Beings and Dragon Lords scale to Island level Super-Tier Magic.
