Summary

The Octopus is the major antagonist of the Game & Watch game of the same name. Its goal was to seemingly stop the divers from stealing the treasure from a sunken ship.

It quickly went to become one of the most recognized element of the Game & Watch games, appearing in several remakes and acting as Mr. Game & Watch's Final Smash.
