Nomad (Star Trek)

"I am Nomad! I am perfect!"

Summary

Nomad was an antagonistic character from Star Trek: The Original Series - originally designed by humanity as an advanced probe it would merge with an alien probe that caused it to malfunction and made it a serious danger to organic life until Captain James T. Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise managed to convince the machine to destroy itself via using its own logic against it.

Powers and Stats

Tier: High 6-A

Name: Nomad (dominant identity), Tan Ru (identity of the alien probe)

Origin: Star Trek (TOS)

Classification: Space Probe, Sterilizer of worlds, Alien robot assuming the identity of an Earth-made robot

Age: 200+ years

Height: 1+ meter

Mass: 500 kilograms

Gender: N/A

Attack Potency: Multi-Continent level (~ 6 exatons of TNT, equivalent to 90 of the Enterprise's photon torpedoes)

Range: At least 90,000 kilometers or likely hundreds of millions of kilometers

Speed: MFTL (it's capable of Warp Factor 15, at least millions of times the speed of light)

Lifting Strength: At least Class 1, possibly far higher via its tractor beam

Striking Strength: N/A

Durability: Unknown, its deflector screens offer Multi-Continent level protection

Operational Time: Perpetrual

Standard Equipment: Defense screen, energy projectors and many devices with unknown functions

Intelligence: Extremely sophisticated computer with processing power far superior to the USS Enterprise's systems. On the other hand Nomad operated by pure machine logic which turned out to be its undoing.

Notable Features: Durable body made of unknown materials, defense screen which protect against attacks, prevent scans and automatically retailate against anyone touching Nomad with hostile intent, can project powerful homing energy blasts or disintegrating energy beams, tractor beams, levitation and FTL space travel, transporter, subspace sensors and communicatiors, extreme computing power accompanied with hacking and technopathic capabilities, can seemingly manipulate matter to repair/improve machines or even heal people, able to scan minds and absorb information from people (this feature is notably superior to Spock's mental powers&defenses)

Weaknesses: It's a pure machine which fails to understand emotions or human behavior. Its memory banks are damaged and goes under the fakely assumed objective to sterilize any imperfect lifeforms. Recognizes any humanoid with the name Kirk as his creator and obeys them. Nomad is actually imperfect and forcing the machine to realize this turns its own prime directive against the machine, resulting in a violent self-destruction event.
