Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Verse OST - Black Brave

Summary

Noire (ノワール, Nowāru), also known as Black Heart (ブラックハート, Burakku Hāto), is the Guardian Goddess of Lastation, a nation residing on the continent of Gamindustri, and a primary protagonist of the Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise.

At the beginning of Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Noire is shown to be fighting against an enemy known as CFW Magic alongside Neptune after Gamindustri was put under the threat of the Deity of Sin, whom CFW Magic, along with the entirety of ASIC, or the Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime, are devoted to reviving. After her defeat by CFW Magic, she, the rest of the Goddesses, as well as the Goddess Candidate of Planeptune, Nepgear, were all captured and were confined in the Gamindustri Graveyard for three years. Eventually, the Goddesses would all get rescued thanks to the efforts of the Goddess Candidates and the Makers, and later, would go on to help Nepgear defeat the Deity of Sin, and bring peace back to Gamindustri[1].

As the Goddess of Lastation, Noire holds the responsibility of protecting the nation, and in return, she earns their faith, which is then converted into Share Energy, making her stronger.

Noire's personality can be summed up into one word: tsundere. She is very polite and generally respectful to everyone and puts her entire being into everything she does. However, she often tries to brush aside the help of others due to only wanting to do things alone, refusing their aid unless she has no choice. She only wants to bring improvement for the better, but she tries too hard and ends up either letting her efforts go to waste or simply making herself ill. Despite that, however, she is shown to have a caring side of herself. She felt the most grief over the (temporary) loss of Neptune, whom she considers to be her best friend, and even started to cry and tear up after saving her. She also expresses her care for her younger sister, Uni, and was shown to become slightly unstable after being told off by her.

As a Goddess, Noire can undergo a phenomenon known as Hard Drive Divinity and transform into her HDD Form, Black Heart. As Black Heart, her strength boosts dramatically from her previous form, allowing her to defeat enemies that would have otherwise proved troublesome for her Human Form. Even further than that, Black Heart can use the Hyper Share Crystal to transform into an even greater state, the Next Form. As Next Black (ネクストブラック, Nekusuto Burakku), she becomes a lot calmer and acts largely the same as her prior form. The Next Form is currently Noire's most powerful form, and is rarely ever seen.

Noire is the personification of PlayStation home consoles.

Name: Noire, Black Heart, Next Black

Origin: Hyperdimension Neptunia

Gender: Female

Age: Unknown

Classification: Guardian Goddess of Lastation

Powers and Abilities:

Resistance to:

All previous abilities on an enhanced scale, Flight, more Light Manipulation (When a Goddess transforms, they emit a bright light that can be seen from faraway locations[26])

All previous abilities on a further enhanced scale, Weapon Creation (Creates four blades to attack the enemy in Diagonal Blade Dance[19])

Negation of Poison (Via Detoxin), Paralysis (Via Paralaxin), Apathy (Via Reflex), Virus (Via Tuffmil), Confusion (Via Face Slapper), Shadow Bind (Via Movealin)

Attack Potency:

Universe level+, possibly Complex Multiverse level (Defeated CFW Magic[12], who casually stomped the HDD Goddesses and Purple Sister at the beginning of mk2[27], and defeated her again after Magic was resurrected into a more powerful state - or "blessed" - by the Deity of Sin[28]. Assisted in the defeat of the Hyper Dimension True Deity of Sin, who possessed more power than its previous vessel and needed to be defeated by 16 characters at their strongest in mk2, including 8 HDD Form users[18])

Universe level+ with Low Shares (Stronger than her Human Form due to HDD being an amp of the Human Form, and Share levels determine the strength of the HDD Form), higher with Average Shares (Stronger than before due to possessing more Share Energy. Comparable to White Heart and Green Heart, who could defeat at least 50 fake copies of the Goddesses[4], of which, the Purple Heart clone was said to have the possibility of defeating the real Purple Heart had she been alone[29]), even higher with High Shares (Much stronger than before; at this level of Shares, the HDD Forms should be comparable to, if not slightly weaker than, the True Deity of Sin), possibly Complex Multiverse level

Low Multiverse level, possibly Complex Multiverse level (Stronger than before due to becoming more powerful over the course of the canon. More powerful than Ultra Dimension Neptune, IF and Compa, and the Gold Third's Gold Forms, all of whom were participants in battles against the Complete Dark Goddesses - Dark Green[23], Dark White[5] and Dark Black[30] - as well as Dark Orange[31][8]. Fought and nearly defeated Arfoire, putting her vessel on the brink of death[7]; Arfoire had been growing stronger constantly overtime due to having possession of the IS Crystal[9], and beforehand, could battle against 7 HDD Form Goddesses at once[32])

Low Multiverse level with Low Shares (Stronger than her Current Human Form. With their full power, Black Heart and the other HDD Form Goddesses were able to defeat an Arfoire-possessed Gray Sister, who had previously removed the limiter of the IS Crystal and absorbed its Shares, and was in possession of a massive amount of Shares to the point where Gray Sister/Maho was being torn apart by it[15]), higher with Average Shares (More powerful than before due to possessing more Shares. Fought and defeated Dark Orange, whose power was significant enough to cause the Next Form users to doubt their chance of victory, though Dark Orange was weakened and contained in a Sharing Field[31]), even higher with High Shares (More powerful than before, now possessing the highest amount of Shares they are known to have), possibly Complex Multiverse level

Low Multiverse level (Stronger than HDD Rei at full power, as the Next Forms are above any HDD form ever seen[19]. After transforming into their Next Forms for the first time, the Guardian Goddesses utterly humiliated Affimojas in their rematch[33]. As a step above the standard HDD Forms, and as a form unlocked by the entire world's faith, the Next Form should be significantly superior to the High Shares HDD Form), higher with Share levels (The Next Form, much like its predecessor, the HDD Form, gets stronger depending on how many Shares a Goddess has), possibly Complex Multiverse level

Speed: Speed of Light combat speed (Comparable in speed to Cave, whose Light Needle is stated to be attacking at the speed of light[1]) | FTL combat speed (Faster than her Human Form) | FTL combat speed (Faster than before due to growing more powerful; kept up with Resurrected Vessel Arfoire in battle a few times), higher with Dash Sneakers (Dash Sneakers increase the speed of a character when used) | FTL combat speed (Faster than her Current Human Form), higher with Dash Sneakers | FTL combat speed (Faster than the likes of HDD Rei Kiseijou), higher with Dash Sneakers

Lifting Strength: At least Class 5 (Comparable to Base Blanc) | At least Class 5, likely higher | Class 25, likely higher (Significantly more powerful than before) | Class 25, likely higher (More powerful than her Human Form) | At least Class 25, likely far higher (Above her previous state)

Striking Strength: Universe level+, possibly Complex Multiverse level | Universe level+ with Low Shares, higher with Average Shares, even higher with High Shares, possibly Complex Multiverse level | Low Multiverse level, possibly Complex Multiverse level | Low Multiverse level with Low Shares, higher with Average Shares, even higher with High Shares, possibly Complex Multiverse level | Low Multiverse level, higher with Share levels, possibly Complex Multiverse level

Durability: Universe level+, possibly Complex Multiverse level (Withstood attacks from Hyper Dimension TDoS Arfoire) | Universe level+ with Low Shares (Stronger than her Human Form), higher with Average Shares, even higher with High Shares, possibly Complex Multiverse level | Low Multiverse level, possibly Complex Multiverse level (Stronger than before; withstood attacks from Resurrected Vessel Arfoire[7]) | Low Multiverse level with Low Shares (Withstood attacks from an Arfoire-possessed Gray Sister with the IS Crystal's Shares absorbed into her; seemingly wasn't tired out at the end of the fight), higher with Average Shares (Withstood attacks from a weakened Dark Orange), even higher with High Shares (Much stronger than before), possibly Complex Multiverse level | Low Multiverse level (Far stronger than Full Power HDD Rei and her own HDD Form), higher with Share levels, possibly Complex Multiverse level

Stamina: Superhuman (Was able to survive for three years trapped in the Gamindustri Graveyard with extremely low Shares[27]. Should be comparable to Uzume, who was near death in the Revival Ending, yet she still pushed on and continued fighting off the monsters to prevent them from reaching Hyper Dimension[23])

Range: Extended Melee Range, Tens of Meters to Hundreds of Meters with certain skills | Same as before

Standard Equipment: A various assortment of rapiers, Processor Units, armors, and Game Discs

Intelligence:

Above Average normally, Gifted combatant (Noire has shown to have proficiency in her swordfighting, a form of combat she has been doing for many years. She is incredibly nimble, as she was able to continously evade the Lastation army, causing them to lose sight of her entirely and safely making her way to the heart of Lastation, even when they had brought in reinforcements to ensure that she doesn't escape, had the area completely surrounded, and found a piece of cloth that tipped the soldiers off. Fought and defeated K-Sha twice in battle; K-Sha is a highly militaristically skilled soldier, having been tutored by the Order ever since she was young to be an elite soldier, demonstrating expertise over her arsenal of weapons. In the first fight, Noire had defeated Gold Form K-Sha alone in her HDD Form, with Noire admitting that K-Sha was stronger than her, and K-Sha saying that she would give it her all before the fight began. In the second fight, she and Uni defeated Gold Form K-Sha, and both of them were in their Human Forms despite the large strength gap with K-Sha's Gold Form being boosted by the Gold Crystal[16]. She can lead her own armies into battle when necessary[34]. Whilst Noire was corrupted, she was able to fight against the party of VII alongside the other corrupted Goddesses up to that point, which was comprised of 12 members. Most of the party consists of skilled fighters who have shown to be able to outclass or match each other in combat, including K-Sha, Nepgear (who has shown to be similarly proficient in combat as Neptune, being able to defeat other Goddesses such as Uni and Rom and Ram[17]), C-Sha (a true martial artist who was able to take on Blanc and eventually win[11], as well as Rom and Ram, fighting the latter two at the same time[23]), the Ultra Dimension Neptune (a proficient swordfighter who was capable of battling against both Nepgear and Vert without putting in too much effort, being there simply to stall the two[35]), Uzume (a naturally talented fighter, demonstrating implicitly comparable dexterity and battle prowess to Neptune, alongside being able to frequently clash with and consistently live against the Dark Goddess[10] and routinely fending off the monsters of Zero Dimension for several years, being Zero Dimension's only proper fighter[10], with a concept established as early as mk2 that fighting with raw power alone is an unviable fighting strategy in real combat[36]), and more. It's highly probable that each Goddess fought more than one character at a time[23]. More skilled and experienced than her younger sister due to being older.

In Sisters VS Sisters, she has shown the capability to defeat the "Mecha Doll", "Mecha Peacekeeper", and "Battle Goddess" enemies, where they are mentioned to have the battle data of a Goddess installed in them[37], have both the battle data and greater mobility through their wings[38], or are stated to have both the battle data and is "the ultimate autonomous soldier which passed all tests with flying colors"[39]. Additionally, these Mecha enemies have even shown the same exact fighting style as the Goddess they imitate due to sharing the same motions of attacks as the Goddesses they imitate. This would include the likes of herself, Neptune, Blanc, and all of the other Goddesses given there are multiple Mecha Doll, Peacekeeper, and Goddess entities; one such example is the "Mecha Doll PN-NG" enemy, with the "PN-NG" standing for "Planeptune-Nepgear", meaning that the specified Mecha Doll has the battle data and combat style of Nepgear. Noire has demonstrated the ability to defeat multiple of these Mecha enemies at once on their own, such as in the Arena, where several fights contain these enemies in batches or lonesome, up to a maximum of 6 enemies, with one such fight containing two Battle Goddesses, which would realistically show more combat proficiency and skill than the standard Mecha Dolls and Mecha Peacekeepers as a result of them "[passing] all tests with flying colors"[20])

Weaknesses: Noire tries to do things without the help of others, leading to her jumping into action alone. As Black Heart, she sometimes acts very cocky and doesn't take her opponent very seriously unless it is a battle she can possibly lose. Her Share Energy is able to be cancelled out with large amounts of Negative Energy.
