N-1, later referred to as Number One, is one of Burando's immortality experiments gone wrong. First introduced after the rising water had knocked down all of the cell doors. The water didn't effect him because of his inhumanly long legs, and he was able to get to Manji and the others location quickly along with Burando. Burando showed regret in creating N-1, as it easily gained the upper hand on Dōa and Isaku. Manji flung the hairpin Dewanosuke left him straight into the experiments's eye, and it proceeded to attack him. Manji lands two swords in the his side, as Dōa Plunges her blade into his neck. After shaking the two off N-1 landed both of his claws into Manji's chest. Dōa attempted to cut his head off while he was busy with Manji, but was kicked back, still managing to land her sword in it's neck. Once Dōa regained her sword, N-1 flipped over and knocked her off once again. He went in for the kill on Dōa , but Rin pulled her back to safety. When Rin attempted to fight she was thrown down easily, and Dōa launched off N-1's knee and landed her blade into it's head while it was distracted. With Dōa's sword stuck in his head the immortal attempted to claw at her when Manji blocked him with his chains, and put his sword halfway into N-1's head. The immortal tripped both Manji and Dōa, but the sack over his head had fallen off in the process. It is revealed that N-1 had a metal band going from his neck to the rest of his head to avoid decapitation. Rin threw her knives at N-1 as Manji, and Dōa pinned his arms and head to the cage. Isaku from behind the cage grabbed the experiments arms and tore them off. Manji and Dōa retrieved their blades, and finally succeeded in cutting N-1 down until just his torso and head remain.
