The Tallon Metroids are a branch of metroids first found in Tallon IV, hence the name. Unlike their standard counterparts they are significantly weaker normally, requiring less firepower to kill but still pose a formidable threat. Naturally, Tallon Metroids evolve into Hunter Metroids, unlike their standard's large family of evolutions. While their natural growth has less transformations as the standard counterpart, they have been shown to be able to mutate easily, espically by phazon.
