Summary

Masterminds are psychics employed by the alien Scrin. A subset if the Scrin known as Traveler-59 employed an enhanced version known as the Prodigy.

Standard Equipment: Some Masterminds are armed with disintegration weapons or plasma beams that are effective against infantry (later GDI campaign in Tiberium Wars) but most do not use conventional weapons. Prodigies were equipped with Blink Packs which gave them short-ranged teleportation. But the device must recharge between uses.

Mind Control: The Mastermind and Prodigy's main ability is to take control of an opponent's mind.

Teleport Units: Teleports an ally next to the Mastermind or Prodigy to aid it.

Area of Effect Mind Control: Only Prodigies have this ability. It can take over multiple opponents minds as long as they are close together. However unlike their normal mind control it is temporary (lasts 20 seconds game time).

Note: Due to game mechanics there is an inconsistency about how many people it can mind control at once. If ordered to control a single infantryman it only controls that one guy at once. But if ordered to control a vehicle or building it controls it even though it is manned by more than one person.
