Summary
Kuruwa is a showy modern kunoichi from the Iga clan who came to Academy City chasing after Hattori Hanzou, intending to defeat him and bring him back to his clan as part of a plan to restore its prestige and stop the decline of the Iga and Hattori lines. She was defeated by Hanzou in battle but had her life spared by him. After this Kuruwa remained at Academy City, mostly sticking with Hanzou and supporting him in his role of Skill-Out leader and protector of Fremea Seivelun.

- Martial Arts/Ninja Training: As a trained kunoichi Kuruwa is skilled in the use of ninja weapons and martial arts, being capable of knocking out Hamazura Shiage with a single blow after previously distracting him using her seduction techniques. She knows how to use a kusarigama efficiently, both to slash with the kama and to hit opponents with the weight at the end of the chain or grabbing them or their weapon with the chain itself. However, Hanzou notes that the kusarigama is not an actual traditional ninja weapon despite their use of it in fiction, as it stands out too much and it's hard to conceal. Kuruwa was also capable of using her voice to mimic the sound of the kusarigama's chain spinning through the air to trick Hanzou into misreading the timing of her strikes.
