Kashitarou is the son of Rintarou and a master of the Ogame style and its theoretical underpinnings. He is the older brother of Rintarou's two daughters making him the eldest. Kashitarou spent all his time alone on Juuren Mountain in Juuren village until Gama and Zenmaru joined him for a year as he trained them. It has been said that it was during this time that he made his first friends in Gama and Zenmaru.

He is a very skilled swordsman. However, he appears to have no stamina. When traveling with Gama, Zenmaru, and Shin to Jouka, they were perfectly fine while he was out of breath. It is later revealed that he was born with a physical defect that reduced his strength and stamina. Despite his illness, however, he is still an extraordinarily formidable combatant, making up for his lack of physical ability with pure swordsmanship skill and cleverness. It has been argued by one of his defeated opponents that he is one of the most skilled martial artists alive, as he is able to defeat a member of Jinsuke's Personal Corps even with his infirmity.
In chapter 79, he showed that he could do a double slash. His slash was so fast that Gama said it disappeared. He has a lot of knowledge when it comes to the body. Kashitarou was able to get past Gama using barely any movement and even got Gama in a vital spot.
While its techniques are currently unknown, he has hinted several times at the existence of a sixth kata, which he developed himself during his time on Juuren Mountain. It has also been implied heavily that he desires to teach this kata to Gama especially, given his talent, if he hasn't done so already, and Zenmaru. He is very confident, not only in himself but also in Gama and Zenmaru given the time he spent training them. While he refers to Gama as his ultimate creation and seems to respect his abilities and potential for rapid growth over Zenmaru's, it has been shown that he is quite fond of Zenmaru personally, physically coming to his aid and saving his life after Zenmaru's loss to Kiyomori Yamanoue, instead of verbally encouraging as he often does with Gama.
