I spent twenty long years fighting in the Mortal Kombat tournament. I dealt with sorcerers, undead ninjas, gods, and the scariest of all−my ex-wife.

Summary

B-list celebrity, recipient of no acting awards. Following a string of lowbrow direct-to-VHS sequels to Ninja Mime, Johnny Cage’s career peaked at the age of 28. Now, he fights against all odds to save Earthrealm and prove that he’s an even braver hero in real life than on the silver screen.

Powers and Stats

Tier: 9-A | At least High 8-C

Key: Base | Inner Power

Name: Johnny Cage; real name is Jonathan Carlton

Origin: Mortal Kombat

Gender: Male

Age: In his fifties in MK11

Classification: Human, Hollywood Actor, Special Forces Consultant

Powers and Abilities:

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts (His fighting style is somewhat reminiscent of the real life JCVD, who uses Karate. Johnny also uses pro wrestling techniques), Weapon Mastery (Wields firearms and other unorthodox weapons), Vehicular Mastery (Can drive a tank), Acrobatics (Hypermobility, Surface Running. Can do a jump roll, perform splits on the ground and air, run off walls before leaping off of them, etc.), Magic (His powers are magical in nature, which he inherited from warriors who were bred by a Mediterranean war cult to fight against gods), Can interact with his past self, but will share with it irreparable damage & death (As shown through MK11), Energy Manipulation (His green energy allows him to create and throw energy orbs as powerful projectiles, boost his speed in short bursts, and build up massive damage to his strikes. In MKX, he has the ability to create two energy clones to assist him in kombat), Awakened Power (Unintentionally summoned his green aura when protecting a loved one)

Explosion Manipulation (Has a pair of explosive, throwing shades), Light Manipulation (Wields a mundane-looking mundane looking camera that emits a disorienting flash when used), Summoning (He can call in a stunt double with his earpiece)

All previous abilities, Instinctive Reaction (His power automatically protects himself from attacks without him even being aware of this ability at all), Forcefield Creation (Can create a full body forcefield)

Attack Potency: Small Building level (Mostly defeats people on his level, including Scorpion and the revenants of Sub-Zero and Jax) | At least Large Building level+ (Defeated Shinnok, who effortlessly defeated Raiden, whose darker self can destroy the floors of the Sky Temple and contributed a large portion of the power to create Fire God Liu Kang who can casually do this)

Speed: Peak Human with Hypersonic reactions and combat speed (Used his Split Punch move to dodge a rifle round from an M4 Carbine. Should be on par with Kabal who can slice through bullets) | Massively Hypersonic+ reactions and combat speed (Kept up with Shinnok, who can react to Raiden's lightning)

Lifting Strength: Class 5 (Can rip out heads) | At least Class K

Striking Strength: Small Building level | At least Large Building level+

Durability: Small Building level | At least Large Building level+ (His powers blocked an energy beam attack from Shinnok when he attempted to save Sonya Blade)

  • Optional Equipment: Assault rifle, C4 explosives, detonator.
  • Can Create/Summon: Mimics (energy clones), his stunt double Jim, a microphone.

Intelligence: Above Average, skilled actor and combatant.

Weaknesses: His past self is a bit disconnected with reality, which causes him to think that weird and mystical opponents are like the ones he "fought" in movies, making him underestimate powerful opponents | Loved ones have to be in danger for him to go into the Inner Power state.
