Summary
Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs is a character introduced in Mortal Kombat 2 as a capable fighter in the use of martial arts and weaponry. In the original timeline, he was the leader of a top US special forces unit that entered in the tournament in order to save Sonya Blade, while in the current one he is a decorated member of the U.S. Special Force that was caught up in the Mortal Kombat tournament and the subsequent invasion of Earthrealm by Shao Kahn.
Cyber-enhanced officer of the Special Forces. Jax Briggs lost both arms in the line of duty, but he came back to the battlefield twice as strong thanks to cybernetic upgrades. Even with that power, Jax's sacrifices burden him. He soldiers onward, honorbound to protect Earthrealm.

- Quick Trip: Jax does a semi-circular low kick to the shins, tripping the opponent down.
- Field Grade: Jax does a one-two combo and breaks the opponent's knees with an oblique kick.
- Chain Of Command: Same combo, but he feints the kick by lifting his knee. Great for catching an opponent who anticipates this move.
- Advance Force: Jax does a one-two combo and an axe kick.
- Code Of Conduct: Ditto, but he throws a middle kick instead.
- Elite Smash: Jax slams a hammerfist down and throws a push kick.
- The Briggs: Jax does a one-two combo in a crouching position.
- Payload: Jax rushes forward with 3 uppercuts with the third one launching the opponent. He jumps up after them and slams his fist down on them.
- All Out Assault: Jax does a high side kick into a roundhouse kick.

- Major Force: The kick is replaced with a punch that forces the opponent to kneel, allowing him to pummel their skull with three punches.
- Armed And Dangerous: Extremely punchy combo. Uses the first 2 hits of Get In Line followed by two uppercuts to the gut and chin, then a hook punch into a haymaker. The combo ends with a superman punch.
- Breakdown: Jax steps forward with a hook punch and throws a crescent punch.

- Sleep, Bitch: Jax hops forth with a semi-circular low kick and an uppercut to the gut which launches the opponent. He grabs them and performs a brainbuster.
- America Strong: Jax does a two side kicks (hopping forth before doing the second one) and throws a crescent punch.
- Get Some: Adds a 3 hit punch attack similar to the last part of Major Force after the kicks.
- Get Outta Here: Jax lunges towards the opponent with a knee strike and throws a mid-air superman punch.
- It can be directed downwards, turning the straight punch into an overhead punch.
- Pound Town: Jax punches the opponent's face.
- Gut Buster: Jax steps forward and punches the opponent's gut.
- Lay Down: Jax slams his opponent to the floor behind him.
- Get Outta My Face: Jax throws his opponent away from him.
- He may delay or cancel the attack before firing the weapon.
- He may throw the opponent up to five times for more damage.
- Instead of a palm strike, he can grab the opponent and hit their head with the butt of his Thumper and fire it on their chest.
- Jax can delay the attack which keeps himself in the current stance, or cancel it.
- Rag Dollin': Jax grabs the opponent's by the leg and throws them to the other side.
- Underhook Slam: Jax hooks his arms under their shoulder and lifts them up as he turns around to slam them down.
- Power Bomb: Jax grabs them by the midsection, holding them upside down, and slams them down on their back.
- Belly To Belly Suplex: Jax grabs them and falls to his back, slamming their back to the floor.
- He may perform a more powerful clap once his arms are fully heated, releasing a fiery explosion. This uses up all of his arm heat.
- After performing the attack, he can enhance it with an uppercut.
