|“||Put down your weapons. The note of the Gjallarhorn being blown may one day ring throughout the nine worlds. The sun and moon may one day be swallowed up. The chains binding the great wolf Fenrir may one day be broken. …But that day is not today. We will convince our gods. We will have them lay down their weapons. So you lay down your own weapons. If you do that, this world that had begun to end can contain a few smiles once more.||„|
|~ Jack Elvan to Surtr|
Jack Elvan is a human from the middle class of Midgard and a mead maker apprentice. One day Jack ran into Waltraute as she was finishing one of her missions in Midgard. Instantly smitten by the Valkyrie, Jack asked her to marry him. After a short discussion, Waltraute, annoyed at the boy's insistence, proposed what she thought would be an impossible challenge to the boy: if Jack could climb up the world tree Yggdrasil and reach Asgard to meet her, she would marry him. Due to a series of circumstances. Jack won the challenge and married Waltraute. However, his adventures didn't end there, and they led to him traveling to some of the other worlds of Norse mythology like Niðavellir and Muspelheim, making some interesting friendships and acquaintances in the process.
