Actively plotted against Samwise Gamgee and Frodo, Bilbo's nephew, by leading them to into a giant spider's nest in the hopes of luring the Ring)
Weaknesses: Maintains his old persona of Sméagol in conjunction with his regular self, who gives him an unwanted soft side. He has a malicious desire and covetousness for the One Ring to the point where he would jump off of a cliff over it, and enjoy doing so. Also has a natural weakness to Elven or otherwise blessed items, as the Ring's corruption has infected his soul.
