Summary
Iblis (イブリース, Iburīsu) is one of the primary antagonists of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and a being made of molten rock and fire, which exists purely for wreaking mass destruction. It's responsible for devastating the world into the far future[1] and becoming known as the Flames of Disaster (炎の災厄, Honō no Saiyaku - lit. "Calamity of Flames"), smothering life and hope alike across the planet in fire and brimstone.[2]
In truth, Iblis was originally a different being; Solaris, who was split into two halves during the experiments of the Solaris Project. While Mephiles embodies Solaris' cunning mind, Iblis is representative of Solaris' raw power. Shortly after their split, Iblis would be sealed within Princess Elise's soul by the Duke of Soleanna 10 years prior to the events of the game.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Immortality (Type 1, 3, & 4), Incorporeality, & Regeneration (Low-Godly; Mephiles and Iblis are repeatedly referred to as immaterial, immortal beings that can manifest different corporeal forms. Iblis is referred to as an eternal energy lifeform that revives after defeat[2]), Self-Sustenance (Types 1, 2, and 3), Transformation (Has two forms beyond his first form), Large Size (Type 1 to 2 throughout it's forms), Fire Manipulation (Attacks with waves of flames[3]), Magma Manipulation (Iblis exerts control over molten rock[3]), Breath Attack (Iblis is able to breathe fire from its mouth and direct it as an attack[4]), Danmaku & Bodily Weaponry (Can hurl out swathes of molten rocks from its body.[4] Phase 2 also uses its body to attack) Summoning (Can create lava-based monsters similar to itself), and Minor Weather Manipulation (Silver described the world as a wasteland with a sky that never clears since even before his birth.[2] Upon Iblis being sealed within Blaze in another dimension, the sky immediately cleared once again). Attack Potency: Universe level+ (By representing the raw power of Solaris, Iblis should be considerably stronger than Mephiles the Dark. Burned the entire planet, ruining its atmosphere and leaving it in a state of ruins since before Silver was born.[2] Can harm the likes of Silver, Sonic, and Shadow)
Speed: Superhuman movement speed with Massively FTL+ Reactions and Combat Speed (Can keep up with Modern Sonic, Shadow and Silver)
Lifting Strength: Class M (Can easily pick up and throw large parts of city buildings from several kilometers)
Striking Strength: Universe level+ (Able to harm Silver and co. with his strikes, some of which include using its body to attack)
Durability: Universe level+ (Modern Sonic, Shadow, and Silver were only able to defeat it by attacking it's weak point), Regeneration makes it very hard to kill.
