Summary

War Chief of the nomadic Tarkatan tribe, a carnivorous people considered below human by the Outworld Empire. Baraka dutifully serves Shao Kahn to preserve his tribe's way of life, who roam the harsh Wastelands, meat carts in tow, consuming everything and everyone in their path.

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Martial Arts (Despite embodying the savage and berserker character, Baraka is quite skilled in hand to hand combat), Weapon Mastery (Skilled in wielding a Tarkatan war banner, which can be used as a spear or a staff. Also wielded firearms sold to him by Kano to the Tarkatans during the invasion of Earthrealm in MK9, albeit they were said to be faulty), Acrobatics (Can leap far distances in a single jump), Natural Weaponry (His Tarkatan arm blades are naturally attached to him, which he uses as his main weapon. Can also launch a spray of bony spikes from his back), Enhanced Senses (Can smell through Shang Tsung's magical disguise. Has a keen sense of smell), Energy Projection (By clashing his blades together, Baraka can generate a projectile out of the sparks made by the friction), Weapon Creation (Can summon a Tarkatan war banner which boosts his damage with its presence)

  • Cross Swipe: Baraka pivots forward, throwing a back fist with his arm blade extended.
    • Tarkatan Push: After Cross Swipe, he swings both of his arm blades down.
  • Gut Strike: Baraka pivots forward and widens his stance, using his rear fist to strike the gut.
    • Horror Show: After Gut Strike, Baraka does a side kick.
    • Outworld Bash (MK9): After Gut Strike, he shoots out his arm blade.

  • Karbrac Stab: While recovering from a knockdown/successfully blocking an attack, Baraka performs a double punch with his arm blades sticking out.
  • Mangled: With his leading arm, Baraka does a hook punch and a back fist. He pivots forward, stabbing the opponent with his rear arm blade.
  • Outworld Bash: Baraka does a hook punch and a rear gut punch. He crushes their skull using a double axe handle slam.
  • Splintered: Baraka does a wide back fist strike and steps forward with a bladed double punch.
  • Bloody Mess: Baraka swipes his rear arm blade and leading arm blade, holding them close to his chest after the attack. He then swings them wide to deliver a double slash.

  • Blade Charge: Baraka runs forward and impales the opponent with his arm blades before he punches or throws them away.
  • Blade Spark: Baraka scrapes his arm blades to create a spark orb that flies towards the opponent.
  • Chop Chop: Baraka kneels down and wildly swings his arm blades upwards.
  • Blade Spin: Baraka rapidly spins in place to swing his arm blades like a top.
  • Slices: Baraka performs two advancing slices.
  • War Banner: Baraka summons his Tarkatan banner and plants it beside him. While it's active, he gains a buff that boosts his damage.
    • War Banner Bash: Rather than planting it, he swings the banner at the opponent before planting it.
  • Blood Lunge: Baraka lunges towards the opponent and tackles them to the floor to stab their chest.
  • Spine Burst: Baraka discharges a spray of body spikes from his back, peppering nearby foes with them.
  • Leg Kabob: Baraka stabs an arm blade into the opponent's leg and snaps it off, dealing DoT.
    • He can trade the DoT for more damage, causing him to stab the head as well and use both blades as leverage to throw them.
  • Gutted: Baraka grabs the opponent and stabs an arm blade deep into their body. He then sends them away with a headbutt.
    • He can launch the opponent by flipping them up after he stabs them.
  • Staked: Baraka swings his banner across the opponent's legs to trip them. He then impales them with it once they are downed.
  • War Banner Charge: Baraka takes his banner and marches towards the opponent to stab them with it.
  • Baraka-Serker: Baraka rushes towards the opponent, flailing his arm blades with each step.

  • Baraka grabs the opponent and hits their face with his knee. He holds their arm and takes a bite out of it before kicking them away
  • Baraka grabs the opponent and does a headbutt to stun them. He holds their leg and takes a bite out of their shins before throwing them behind him.

  • The Klassic: Baraka does a rising blade strike with both arms, but it decapitates them with their spine intact.
  • Nom Nom: Baraka forces the opponent's face down and hits it with a knee strike, then rips off the opponents' arm to let blood gush onto his face, while they fall over and die due to excess bleeding. 
  • Severed: Baraka stabs the opponent's leg, then slices it off with the other blade, causing them to die via exsanguination. 
  • Sparkler: Baraka slams his blades to fire a ball of sparks which passes through the opponent, melting a large hole in their chest with ribcage exposed.
  • Thumbtack: Baraka lunges towards the opponent and tackles them down before he stabs them. He takes out his banner and plunges it into their head.
  • Stuck: Baraka charges forward with his blades out and stabs the opponent. He lifts them up and lets them sink through his blades before slicing them in half.
  • Capped: Baraka summons his war banner and slices the opponent's shins, causing them to fall to their knees. He proceeds to stab the banner through their skull.
  • Cut Up: Baraka crouches down and wildly swipes his arm blades upwards, lifting the opponent with each strike. He continues to do this as their limbs fall off, chest destroyed and flanks obliterated.

  • X-Ray (Nail and Impale): Baraka performs his Blade Charge to start the attack. He then rams his left blade through their carotid artery damaging the neck, throat and jaw and then through the eye socket causing damage in the skull. After this, Baraka kicks the opponent off his blades and they are sent flying back with a trail of blood.
  • Fatal Blow (SKEWERED): Baraka performs his Gut Strike to begin the attack. He rushes towards the opponent with his right arm blade out, then plunges it into the opponent's raised hand as they try to block it, impaling it through the chest and sticking their hand to it. He snaps off the embedded blade and does a right hook before impaling them through the jaw with his left arm blade. He pulls his blade out and summons a Tarkatan war banner before driving it through their abdomen then lifts them up to kick them away.
