The Dresden Files is a series of mystery fantasy novels written by Jim Butcher. It follows the adventures of Harry Dresden, Chicago's only wizard private detective. There are 16 books in the series and has been adapted into comic form as well as a television series.
Most of the characters are either athlete, street, or wall level combatants, including the protagonist Harry Dresden for the most part. But there are some powerful outliers around multicontinental level, like Mab and the other queens of the fae, Ferovax who used to change seasons and continents for the White God, and then the Archangels who are directly stated to be able to destroy galaxies, and possibly the Mothers of Winter and Summer. There is also the White God who is directly superior to the Archangels, putting him above them, but to what extent is unknown.
The verse also lacks speed and durability, aside from the stronger characters. As said previously most characters are Wall level or lower. The verse also has a lot of weaknesses for its characters, as most of the monsters in the series come from the real world and take their weaknesses with them.
But the series also has a decent amount of hax abilities, such as a limited form of pseudo-omniscience called intellectus, which is basically being able to think about something and receiving an answer, but this is usually limited to the top tiers of the series, such as the Mothers and Archangels, and those at a lower tier have much more limited version that only answers more specific questions. That aside, there are other hax abilities, such as being able to see through any illusion through the sight; which allows the wielder to see the true form of anything, entropy manipulation, probability manipulation, death manipulation and one hit kill, soul manipulation, mind manipulation and many more.
