The Bird That Carries You Over A Disproportionately Small Gap is a minor NPC in Undertale who appears in Waterfall. Next to Sans' telescope spot, there is a small lake of water which is impassable by normal means, with the bird on the other side. Once you reach its spot on the other side after a detour through the Garbage Dump, it will offer to carry you back across. It acts as a shortcut between each side of Waterfall.
If Frisk calls Undyne in its room, she will reveal that she once asked it to carry her over to the other side. Although it took an entire hour, the bird never once thought about giving up and kept going till the end. The bird is also seen in the true pacifist ending, in which it flies alongside Papyrus' new car on the highway.
It doesn't appear in genocide route, likely due to being aware of Chara's intentions and refusing to help.
