Arondight

Summary

Arondight (アロンダイト, Arondaito) is the holy sword of Lancelot, the counterpart of the greatest holy sword, Excalibur. A Divine Construct carved with Fairy Letters and crystallized by the wishes of humanity, it was given only to the strongest, bravest, and truest knight of its time, the Knight of the Lake, Lancelot.

Powers and Stats

Tier: 7-A, higher with Arondight Overload

Name: Arondight: The Unfading Light of the Lake

Origin: Fate/Zero

Wielders: Lancelot (Saber)

Classification: Divine Construct, Noble Phantasm

Powers and Abilities: Increases all of Lancelot's parameters and doubles the chance of saving rolls, Energy Projection with Arondight Overload

Attack Potency: Mountain level (Ranks up Lancelot's strength, and Lancelot can already trade blades with Saber), higher with Arondight Overload (An A++ rank Anti-Army Noble Phantasm, and thus superior to even Excalibur Galatine).

Speed: None

Durability: At least Mountain level (Described as indestructible, took blows from Excalibur and wasn't damaged in the slightest)

Range: Extended melee range, Kilometers with Arondight Overload (Releases a burst of mana that is comparable to the surface area of an entire lake)

Weaknesses: Drawing Arondight increases Lancelot's upkeep cost and seals his other Noble Phantasms, For Someone's Glory and Knight of Owner.

Notable Attacks / Techniques:

Arondight: The Unfading Light of the Lake: Lancelot's truest Noble Phantasm, which seals his other two and increases all of his parameters once drawn, on top of doubling the success rate of his saving throws. Arondight is also a dragon-slaying weapon, making it extra effective against those with a Draconic attribute. After Lancelot used it to slay his fellow knights to rescue Guinevere, it lost its status as a holy sword, and his madness ultimately stains it black.

Lancelot using Arondight Overload in Fate/Grand Order

  • Arondight - Overload: Breaking All Restraints - Overloaded Light of the Lake: Lancelot overloads Arondight with his mana, allowing his magical energy to leak out of it, before slashing at them and releasing it all. It is close to a sword skill, and the magical energy is intentionally kept within the blade until it makes contact with Lancelot's opponent, releasing a burst of blue light comparable to the surface of a lake.
